When can we start having discussions if Kadri is 2014 Olympic team ready. Certainly playing a hell of a lot better than other guys on the list. Lupul too

If he plays like this throughout the year and next year then yeah, but the Canadian Olympic team is a hard team to make

Kadri looking like a solid #7 pick by Mr. Burke, not a bad gamble on Lupul either

Something to keep in mind, though:

His game will translate very well on the bigger ice.

My my how things have changed since the off season & during the lockout. At that time, if Gillis just offered Lu for Bozak instead of what he wanted which was Kadri, Bozak & something else, for sure all the Leaf fans would have been SCREAMING for this trade to happen. However, fast forward to the April trade deadline, the Leaf tandem of Reimer & Scrivens has been great, while Bozak has really become as essential part of this team. And the best part, Kadri has become an untouchable.

So Mr Gillis, now u are willing to take just Bozak for Lu? Too bad, we don't need Lu. Bozak is more valuable to us than him. We have Optimus Reim in net.

NOOOOOOOO DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he would have to outplay a lot of guys though. IMO the top centre is crosby, and the third/fourth centre is toews and bergeron for their defensive ability, leaving only one spot to be filled by the likes of guys like getzlaf, staal, richards etc. i think he would have to play out of his mind plus have a bunch of guys play below expectations to make that team.

Yes Burkie gets a passing grade, I'd give him a B+. The only reason he doesn't get an A is cause he over paid for smucks like Komi & Beaush*tman, also he gave up slightly too much to get Kessel. But on the flip side of that, he did parlay Beaush*tman into Lupul & Gardiner & it's not like we got an aging veteran or a sh*tty young player in the Bruins deal. Kessel is awesome. I'm VERY happy with Kessel. I actually am praying to the stars that we re-sign him. So yeah exellent job Burkie. I'm sure your feeling proud these days as the the Leafs are FINALLY reaping the rewards of what you built here in your 4 years in TO.

John Tavares will be the second line centre. Bergeron will be a winger, as will Richards and Staal, likely. Crosby-Tavares-Toews-Getzlaf.
