point taken......by the way we're 3rd
- JIMI-JAMES

I blame sports broadcasters, like when they were going on about how LA couldn't score goals last year, they didn't bother to bring up how many goals against they let in. And oh 3rd now whatever

Reimer is only 25 and does not look out of place as our starting goaltender and except when he's been injured never really has. He's probably got a few years of solid developing left, maybe he works on his glove hand and shootouts and then we'll have a guy we can go with for potentially a long time.
- MapleLeafsFTW

Agree he is only 25 he has a few years left to prove himself ,look at Ottawa with lehtner he will be our back up to Anderson for a few years so I wouldn't trade for a proven guy now it would only hider reimer's development I would go find a proven backup.

It makes absolutely no sense for Nonis to get Kipper...
- Fruitcakenipple

or lou to be honest. he doesn't raise his game in the playoffs he plays the same.

career regular season: .919 save % and 2.52 gaa

career playoffs: .916 save % and 2.53 gaa

if he couldn't get vancouver a cup, how will he get toronto one? i'd say vancouvers team in the finals was better then our current team, and im sure most leaf fans would agree even though we hate vancouver

How do you get blood and semen out of cashmere?

Well, some experts hold that normal stain remover is sufficient, however, personal experience has taught me that copious amounts of saliva, when properly applied, will work almost as well.

I think if we can sign him to reasonable money before the deadline we keep him otherwise trade him with some d for another center. Besides Kessel seems to have good chemistry with everyone he plays with. He made Joey Crabb look half decent for a time.

What are you basing this off of? Reimer has been dynamite for us, and is still developing.

He's 46-28-13 with a .912 save average on a Leaf team that has questionable at best D over the past few years. This also includes those games where he wasn't a hundred percent because of his concussion. Some people wouldn't know a franchise goalie if it sat on them.

Rask was a first rounder goalie, pogge just sucked ass, and they picked pogge over rask because he was canadian, logic went through the window on that one

If the Leafs win will Eugene have his special CSI team investigate the Leafs for cheating??
- Fruitcakenipple

Yeah, they have scanners at the turnstiles, too, that can see through jackets to see if people are wearing Leaf jerseys.

I have a scenario that I'm not sure is allowed under the CBA. maybe someone with some knowledge can chime in.

I know that a team can take back up to 50% of a players contract in a trade, but can both teams take back salary in a trade.

For Example:

The leafs trade a package based around Grabovski to Vancouver and eat 50% of his salary for the entire 4 years remaining after this one. Toronto Gets Luongo and Vancouver eats 25% of his contract for the entirety of the deal.

For the first 4 years the Leafs pay 2.75 million of Grabovski's contract and just under 4 for Luongo. Essentially making Luongo a 6.75 cap hit for the first 4 years. However in the later deals once the Grabovski contract is up Luongo's cap hit would remain just under 4 million.

Can anyone shed some light.
