The Leafs should trade away all their picks and prospects for old guys. A quick fix can never go wrong.

i agree with you, the problem is with the canucks, they never gave Luu a chance to play alot. There tactics are pretty messed up, example:

Schneider plays 5-6 games in a row, Luu plays 1 game, Schneider plays the next 2 games, Luu plays the next 2-3 games, etc

Luu will get more games then reimer, but reimer is still reliable to carry the load as well

Interesting to see how reimer adapts

Reimer will never be a franchise goaltender, he's only able to put together 20-30 games in relief of a starter.
- ThePresident

What are you basing this off of? Reimer has been dynamite for us, and is still developing.

He's 46-28-13 with a .912 save average on a Leaf team that has questionable at best D over the past few years. This also includes those games where he wasn't a hundred percent because of his concussion. Some people wouldn't know a franchise goalie if it sat on them.

I know, I'm just making fun of these rumors. These rumors remind me of the quick fix.

For the love of god NO. I wouldn't pick him up off waivers stay far far away from that contract. Do nothing at the deadline at all.

Have some faith in the boys and lets storm into the payoffs. What a great test for this young team. Find out definitively who fits and who doesn't no guess work. Find out which goalie thrives in the pressure.

Save all our assets for a big offseason. When SJ inenvitably blows it up in the offseason after another disappointment make a play for Burns or Thornton or my god both!

When Pheonix moves to Quebec scoop up a Mike Smith.

Whatever you do DO NOT get Luongo. DO NOT make stupid trades. He will be an anchor much sooner than you all think Martin Brodeur he is not.

I believe we have different definitions of dynamite.hes been good but he's been real bad too. I don't think he has the consistency to be number 1

Leafs are 22nd in the NHL for goals against right now, only scored 8 more goals than they've allowed
- JIMI-JAMES

That stat grinds my gears, most people think it's a coincidence that we're 2nd in goals for and that low for goals against but look at every other team! It's a trade off based on your system, if you score a lot of goals you are letting a lot of goals if you aren't you're probably not letting a lot of goals in.

Look at those numbers, do you remember the D two years ago? Last year? He's only 25, he isn't finished developing and he's putting up numbers like that. The Leafs win when he plays more often than not.

I think our winning has more to do with our scoring than our goalie and d.

Definitely, just like last year with Kadri and this year with Gardiner. Our fans just love to hate on our good young developing players.

My guess is if Bozak is in the deal he will return in the off season essentially making the deal Lou for a pick and maybe a prospect.
- StanleyCupDreams

Maybe. Canucks don't trade Luongo this week unless a roster player comes back, or else there isn't any point...might as well wait until the summer.
