3 goals and 11 assists right now soo don't think I would go that far but it would be nice to get rid of staff. One of these teams will take a flier on him don't worry. - gibby111
Stafford born in 1985
Okposo born in 1988
Stafford ppg avg .604
Okposo ppg avg .574
Stafford $4 mil cap hit for 2 more years
Okposo $2.8 mil cap hit for 3 more years
In the cap era where the cap is going down next year he has the opportunity to trade the same type player for the same type of player but younger and 1.2 mil cheaper. He should be shot for not making the move IMO. |

You're joking right? We're talking about an equipment manager. Does it really matter?

Does Garth not understand that Pittsburgh already traded their number 1 pick for Some guy named Iginla or am I expecting too much? |

I wouldn't mind that trade. IMO, it's a change of scenery for both guys. Okposo was a 7th overall pick. |

well I was told they waived their NTC yesterday so that part is true....traded within 24/48.....doubtful.
Ive been told the ball is in Reghrs court, so he will be moved if he wants to be.
Ive also been told that Pommer and Darcy are pretty tight so I bet Pommer is only getting traded if he wants to move on, unless the offer is too good to pass on for Darcy. - Homer
Your third paragraph scares the poop out of me

He was mentioned after as the person someone would like for Staff. But I was answering the question of whether or not Drew's uncle was still working for Edmonton. |

No Drew's uncle.. hahaha. Paajarvi is still with the team, they just seem to not have room for him anymore. I think he would fit in well here with our top six, and eventually blossom into a pretty good player. Especially if we are going to eventually trade Pommer or Van. |

Okposo was turning the corner and starting to use his size when he injured his shoulder. After that he has seemed less aggressive possibly a fear of re-injury. A change could do him good and Ott could help him get his game back.
IMO its a win/win for both teams. |

Can't believe Darcy didn't pull the trigger on that. Maybe he will on deadline day. |

Someone claiming to be some what close on the Pommer situation claimed last night that he indeed gave his list and was furious about it. Take it for what it's worth. |

He could probably use a bit of a change in the way he's used too. Right now he's only getting about 16 mins of ice time. A bigger role may help push him in the right direction as well. Considering how bad some of the +/- stats are on that roster, his -5 says that he's probably pretty responsible defensively as well. |

Good. Maybe it'll light a fire under his ass.
I generally don't criticize Pommer, but he's looked pretty uninspired this year. I don't know if there's something going on outside of the rink that has him distracted, but I don't know that I've ever seen him play so lackadaisical before. He's never been overly physical, but he usually plays a lot harder than he has this year. |

Hmmmm....could just be that they like other guys better. Not that they should be unwilling to try something else. They're 21st in the league at 79.2% |

Like I said, 2.8 mil for a 25 yr old 40-50 point player in the cap era is good cap management. |

He's not captain material. I said it last year and I'll continue to say it.
This season is showing that it is the weight is to much for him. |
