He has waived it.

Nice. I'm guessing Darcy is just getting his ducks in a row for deadline day?

I hope he can fleece someone Wednesday. Get an additional 1st round pick and a blue chip prospect, in addition to dumping some salary. I will be happy. This team needs change

As a fanbase, if you guys get your wish and you trade Miller, Pomminville, Myers, et. al, are you okay with sucking for 3-4 years before you're playoff contenders again? Because that's what happens if you rip a hole in your team like that.

I don't think it'd take that long to be good again and I doubt all the players you mentioned get moved.

Yes. Except I doubt Myers is moved at the deadline. Unless the return is huge.

you think he gets moved? and what is a fair deal for him hypothetically with any team? 1st, top prospect?
- HAMgerber

I think thats sounds about right....first and a solid prospect, maybe not top.

Well, as much as Pominville, Myers, Regher, Miller, Stafford, etc. can frustrate you, they're veteran players who play big minutes. If you get rid of them, and want to go with a younger core, those young players will have to be able to immediately fill those roles as well as or better than the current crop. That usually takes a few years. Also, you have no idea how Enroth would be able to handle a full season's worth of games. Same with any other young goalie (see; Schneider, Cory).

That said, they should be actively shopping Pominville, Leopold, and Hecht. Can add Kaleta to that list as well.

I wouldve made that deal in a hearbeat, Okposo has skill and is younger and cheaper than Staff why would Darcy back off that

because he loves his own players.

Okposo is having a Stafford like year though, he has not been good.

I can see Ruff ending up there but I don't think we'd hire Laviolette.
