St. Louis Blues‏@StLouisBlues4m
The Blues have acquired defenseman Jordan Leopold from Buffalo for a second round and conditional fifth round pick. http://bit.ly/XOTqsT

1st and maybe a mid-level prospect.

i really like stockpiling for this draft. we could legit pull a "brian burke does work to get the sedin twins" sort of of draft day.

i also like that psysk has a spot on this team now...

Well now that we've gotten that early trade out of the way, now we just have to hope that this isn't going to be all that we see from Darcy...

Didn't he say he'd rather retire than be traded?

Supposedly. According to HardHat I believe. But he's a professional athlete. It's part of the job. I wouldn't be surprised to see him be a later signing this summer though, or not signing at all if that was accurate in any way. Apparently his family likes it here in Buffalo.

They could always re-sign here.

I would be surprised to be honest. That type of stuff doesn't really happen too often.

I know your team isnt great defensively but isnt your problem more that you havent had a goalie in forever???
- Homer

Actually, although his stats tell otherwise, Bryzgalov has been pretty great this year. No softies, and really getting square to shooters. But when the other team has the puck 3/4 of the time and are getting point blank chances, the levy breaks eventually. With the way this team plays defense, Patrick Roy would be getting lit up.
