I'm good if you save yourself the time and leave it alone (I couldn't do that, just saying). Instead of save % lets measure success in wins and cups... Definitely not above average anymore, right? - keptupl8
Well than Lundqvist, Rinne, Miller, Kipper, Luongo, are all average. Miller is in the top 50 in all-time wins. Some stats or "facts" work in favor of Miller, some work against Miller being "elite". It's a lengthy and alomost pointless discussion |

When the new arena is done it will be a great recruiting tool.
I never cared for Niagara's rink. |

I would love to know what was said at the alleged meeting between Pegula and Reiger a few days ago.
If Darcy sold him on taking another run with this core (Miller, Vanek, Pommer), and he starts trading Ott, Foligno...well that's just insane. I will lose all faith in Pegula.
Here's the problem. With Darcy in charge, he has to play win now, finish 10th or better and sell to Pegula as they are close. That's why I don't expect a bunch of moves. Leopold, Regher, for draft picks. That's about it.
That's why I wouldn't care if they brought ina new GM this weekend. Would much rather have a new guy who is maybe a bit under-prepared, than a lame-duck Darcy.

I know NU has had a good program for awhile now but it's great to see what Canisius has done. Dave Smith has done a hell of a job there. Adam Mair is helping a lot there too. |

Lehtenon has done it every year since the lockout.
05/06 he only played in 38 games though. |

850 (and that's being kind) for the AHA final here in Rochester last weekend (Canisius v Mercyhurst). I was shocked at how empty the place was for such a big game.
I asked a Canisius student where everyone was and he said they had three buses ready to go, but no one signed up. Student body came down in a van!
That was my first college hockey game in 20 yrs, and I was really impressed with the speed and caliber of play. |

The only stat that works against Miller is the incompetent teams hes played for over the past 5-6 years.

This isn't directed entirely at you, but how can people get so worked up about a meeting where they have no idea what was discussed?
Maybe Pegula was outlining Darcy's firing/stepping down.
Maybe Pegula identified some players he wants to target (i.e. Regehr)
Maybe they are in Oprah's book club together.
Maybe they played Monopoly and didn't break any rules to speed up the game.
Who knows? Just those 2 guys. |

And Miller has been in the top 10 in the NHL in total saves consistently (with the exception of last year because of injury) for the last 6 years, which tells you he faces more shots and plays more games than most goalies. Like I said some work for him some against |

The Griffs going to one up Niagara when the new arenas are built donw town, with having that their home rink.
One of the guys I work with who lives out in Wisconsin, his son committed to Niagara to play hockey, pretty exciting. |
