I can guarantee you've never seen Dekeyser play, so how can you compare him to anybody?

i don't get the man-crush with this Dekeyser. he sounds like Smid or N. Schultz. sure, it's always nice to get a prospect for free, but, the Oilers need more then another 22 year old the projects to be a solid 3-4 D. If he comes to E-town, fine. If not, meh.

i wanna see what Tambo does after the season with Hemmer + a 8-12 pick overall. if he does nothing, that wil cement it for me. he has got to go.

Hemmer looked real good last night

Rich don't even suggest EDM's in the playoff race. To make the playoffs, the'd need to go 10-4-1 and EDM hasn't strung together 3 consecutive wins yet this whole season

Clouts, so the Oilers are going to be great in a few years???

Really, Really...well I guess that's your opinion but until they get a defense & goaltending to back it up, until their young forwards decide to play with consistency & until you insert some big wingers with skill into your lineup, you're not winning anything.

Teams don't care about your top 6, they know playing physical greatly diminishes their skill & it's been proven several times this season.

And you sure talk about Klefbom quite abit, a guy that's never played in the NHL - wow you make him sound like he's automatic to be a top pairing d-man.

Well I guess you're as big a dreamer as the rest of the Oil fans!!

D could use some work, but it's comin.

Going into yesterdays game The Oilers were in 4th overall in team save% in the league with a .918 , behind only Ottawa,Chicago, and Boston.

The Goaltending isn't really the problem.

Wins is what counts, not save % - that's the bottom line.

Brouwer would be an awesome addition, but I bet Stafford could be had for pretty cheap as he was a healthy scratch for a few games this week. It's timeb the Oil starts moving assets for actual NHL players.

Aside from klefbom all the oilers have are picks and b level prospects

We have sat through the rebuild this long. It would be a shame to through that away. We need a cupboard of prospects to trade for players when were cup contenders

We are ranked highly on those sights due to the age of our players on our active roster.

Hockey future has our top five prospects: 3 are current nhlers klefbom is third and marchin is 5th

actually wins is a team stat, so you can't blame the 4th best goaltending in the league for losses

Actually, it comes down to wins - bottom line!! A goalie can have an average defense in front of him with an average save % but if he has a ton of wins, who cares about the save %.

If you're a great goaltender, you'll win a ton of games yourself!!

Anyone who says the Oilers need to address their goaltending hasn't watched them play. One top 6 with size, and two legit top 4 D makes them a playoff team.

I wouldn't say a ton of games, unless you're talking elite goalies, and how many of those are around? A good goalie needs to steal you a few. Dubs has been solid.

There really is no point discussing this with you as you have already decided to hate everything Oilers. Not too sure if it's jealousy or you blame Katz pharmaceuticals for your pill addiction.
But what the other guy was sayin is if the defense improves then Dubnyk will also due to less quality scoring chances. He may not be the guy, and has to show a little more consistency, but his numbers suggest he could be a good starter.

Sorry but Tambi aint going anywhere. And I highly doubt they trade our first without knowing where it will be. As has been said, the Oil still need prospect depth. Cant take huge risks yet. I beleive Katz knows Tambi is a low risk guy and wants to keep it that way for now.
