Not much of a scorer, but was named Hockey East (hockey version of the SEC) defensive forward of the year
He'll join Rochester for the rest of the season
Doubt he's good enough to get called up to the Sabres, but could be a solid 4th line center for us in the future... MAYBE 3rd line shutdown type

From Blues Blog - sounds a lot like a local hockey team here in Buffalo:

Trade ideas? Go ahead, list 'em off. Deal off someone from the core? Maybe, but I'm not sure what that's going to solve right now. Blow it up? Sure, I'll bet Blues fans would love to do the rebuilding thing again seeing as how they were already fed up with it before we ever even hit the '08-09 season. Change coaches? The only time this group has reacted positively is after a coaching change - and that lasts about a year or so (sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less); if that's the only way these guys can get motivated, then "blow it up" starts to get some legs. The bottom line is that the guys in the locker room have to look at each other and say, "this is it - don't expect we're getting any help, it's up to us to sink or swim, so we better figure out how to fix this."

Seriously folks..... This is a huge dilemma..... Do you keep Darcy and let him build this team or do you tell him not to do anything right now, fire him then let a new GM blow this thing up in the summer..... Or do you fire him today and hope to get a decent GM before the deadlin and let him blow it up.......

would have fired DR when Lindy was canned. too late to bring in someone before draft deadline to tinker with team - they don't know personnel, dont know strengths (not many) to negotiate from.

Who would have thought we would be in this position at this time with our new owner, very sad. The whole team looks lost not just Myers it's easy to blame him but this whole team has no direction what so ever. We could include SKOLNIK our head coach in that as well.

I wouldn't mind these moves, but we also need more character guys who can actually play the game, too.

Just let the team do what comes natural to them. Losing. Not sure they will get to the top 3 picks. But this year, we know they will not have that hot finish and finish in 9th.

If an NHL neophyte like Rolston is disgusted with this roster, imagine what Brian Burke would think of it if he were hired by the Sabres.

At least 80% of the roster would be turned over by next October.

I agree no heart at all last night, I guess it might be time to make changes. I was against moving the big 3 but what do you do now?
