Myers shouldve gotten a "bridge" contract.

3 years at around 3.5M.

PROVE to us that you deserve the big one.

Kind of like Ennis signed?

I think they should try to do something like that with Hodgson, though I don't know how well that's going to work.

What value could we really get for him? I don't think a lot.
- Cheeseballin

a good enough value. because theres this myth that hes an elite player.

and the defense is the entire problem

He would have held out. Good on him and his agent smoking Darcy.

It appears that Golisano was smart to keep the purse strings tight because Darcy doesn't know what to do with money. Pegula opens his wallet and Darcy pisses it down the drain

i have no problem with the way they handled myers. better to sign him up at 6.5 or w/e than waiting 2 eyars and possible paying 8 or 9

the fact that he tanked this hard could not have been imagined.

40 shots against tonight. If he doesn't let in 4 he's named a star in this game

Missing a wide open net on the power play?
- theblueandgold

Beating the goalie like a dusty rag again in the shootout and he makes mistakes he aint perfect but probably the second best winger on this team and the best as far at staying healthy thru his career

I didn't at first. But now, he's just another over paid Sabre. That's on Papa Pegula and Nana Darcy.

Couldn't have been imagined? He struggled in his sophomore year and was even worse last year. He's been trending down ever since he debuted

i dont know man. theres a lot of bad contracts in this history of this regime, but myers i just cant blame them for.

maybe you could attack them for not properly judging his motivation and how much of a professional he is, but christ that may have even been worth the risk.

its also just possible that hes just playing down to the rest of the team. im not sold on him being this bad. get a fresh coaching staff and new gm and 4 or 5 new players and he can rebound.

I'm confident he will be a very good player. Maybe not Norris good. But I think Lindy and the contract were huge problems. You had to know he would struggle being placed in a different role as a 20 year old on an average team

Not sure if anyone posted this yet...
But it appears the Sabres have signed undrafted college free agent center Tim Schaller from Providence
6'2, 210lbs
8-15-23pts in 38 games this year

Not much of a scorer, but was named Hockey East (hockey version of the SEC) defensive forward of the year
He'll join Rochester for the rest of the season
Doubt he's good enough to get called up to the Sabres, but could be a solid 4th line center for us in the future... MAYBE 3rd line shutdown type

And looking at some usual suspects:

Ron Wilson (No)
Pat Quinn (No)
Laviolette after being replaced by Lindy (No)

I'm just trolling the junk yard right?
