They are happy collecting their huge paychecks. Leino, Myers, Stafford, all look like they could care less at times this year. It's getting sad that you literally have to sit Myers for him to wake up and play decent hockey. I still think Myers will turn out, but I'm getting to the point where realizing that contract was the absolute worst thing for him

I think Leino will quietly be happy with a buyout in July....

You dont even know him as a person to accurately be claiming that about him.

I have no problems with him telling us about the problems that he has with the coach or the team. Its pretty obvious something is wrong in that locker room. He had higher expectations for this team when he signed the contract, and probably feels let down in that sense.

He was a bust last year because he played mostly 3rd and 4th line all season in a shut down role. The times he got to play with top 6 players, he actually looked good and put up points.

Its not an excuse for his lack of production by any means, but I dont want to see Leino get bought out, I think hes a good player.

Who cares what Rolston does. He wont be here next year.

I was irritated with him because of the hip thing. If he knew that it's been this much of a problem and that his best bet is going to be to get it surgically repaired, then he should have taken care of it at the end of last season.

Couldn't agree more, the kid is living off his rookie season has been awful this year totally regressing year by year. He's a turnover machine,clumsy with the puck can't control passes. Never been a fan of him I hope he gets moved.

I thought he had his hip taken care of, but after training camp it was the other hip now?

All I got to do is observe his gestures and actions when I see him on the ice.That all that matters to me.What he does off ice I could really care less.This isnt the first time hes run his mouth an the way he handles himself during the game is like a child.

Me too. It's not a complete shock that in a season that has been so horrible, the young guys are struggling. Foligno was awful for a good stretch, Grigorenko was invisible. A good coach and a good house cleaning is what needs to happen

I think the side he had repaired bothered him more, which is why he had the surgery on it, but in general, he was bothered by the one he didn't have surgery on at different points last year too. Why not go and have the surgery at the end of the season? Especially when the chance there was going to be a lockout was so great? Most likely he wouldn't have missed any time at all, since he would have had the surgery in April and would have had like 8 months to recover from it.

This is the part that just irritates me the most. Especially when he starts criticizing the leadership group and stuff. It's not like he's immune to never having made a mistake.

Garth - jump off the bus it is ok. The Sabres are a brutal team and need some help. The only way they are going to get better is if they get a top 5 draft pick and trade away these so called assets. At this point, we should start playing our younger players to give them some NHL experience. Regehr and Leopold should fetch us something in return. Just think - Pens just made their statement for who wants the Stanley Cup. The cap is also going down next year - so UFAs will be at a premium. Chicago, LA, Boston, Habs, Wild and Ducks all needs help. You can get a draft pick for Hecht. I think you loose Gerbe too.

I would also dangle one of the 3 if the offer in good enough - Vanek needs to be safe but I would look at offers on Miller and Pominville. The Sabres could only retain 2 of them - unless they all want to give a hometown discount. Pominville is the odd man out in my book. This team needs leaders and he just isn't one. Loyal solider - yes - not a capitan. I think you could get some great value for him. Or I'd hold onto him and trade him to the Av's for O'Reilly in the summer - straight up.

If they could get a really nice package for him, I'm even on board to move him. I'm convinced that locker room and Darcy/Lindy ruined that kid
