Bruins are BUTT HURT but Iggy wouldn't waive to go there...what else could Feaster have done? He took the deal to Iggy and his agent and they said to shove it |

You know, that's if the Bruins offer was an unconditional 2013 1st. There's a lot of smoke being blown around now that this is done. I would think Bruins needed Iggy way more than Pitt did, they should have made it so sweet, Flames could have leaned on Iggy a bit to take the best deal for the club. Something tells me evryone knew Chicago & LA were not players of the 4 team list. Iggy slipped out at the press conference that there were 3 offers on the table. Obviously LA or Chicago werent interested. Chiarielli can say what he wants, the truth is somewhere in the middle. Conroy is saying on Fan 960 that Feaster & Wiesbrod left the pressbox to discuss the 2 offers with Iggy & it could have gone either way. I doubt Feaster verbally accepted the Bruin deal. Probably told him yeah OK, we are going to make a decision tonight. - Kevin R
Chiarelli (sp?) said it was a first round pick....not conditional. |

Absolutely....poor Feaster, he takes a lot of unnecessary bashing. He's like a whipping boy! |

Strongest assets right now:
Durability, 3 zone game, puck movement; stick & body positioning; skating ability; ice time capabilities; consistency
Weaknesses: Not very physical; not a big or heavy shot (his goals are more from jumping into the play)
He doesn't have a lot of emotion. I guess that can be a positive or negative because it allows him to be consistently good and at a high level but rarely sees a higher gear.
Given current market and current play, 5.5mil seems about right, maybe a little higher.
Important question is, though, what is he worth to you or on the open market? - TandA4Flames
One of the best replies I've heard all day. thanks.
I think the offer by Erik6Karlsson5 is a very generous deal.
His offer: Ben Bishop, Jim O'Brien, 3rd Round Pick
What are the Flames needs? Because frankly the above is a hefty return |

Personally I think the Flames would be more interested in a first round pick...I see them taking less in prospects to get the first rounder.
Bishop and a First is fair IMO |

You know it.. That could be an insult to all those wonderful Newfoundlanders in Alberta... By the way.
I can only hope to be half the person most of the Newfies I have met. Wonderful people. |

Bishop is worth a 1st round pick atm. He is a SOLID goalie. Its hard [for me] to asses Jay-Bo's value. I don't know if this year is just him breaking out of a funk or if he is getting back to form and will play like this moving forward. Jim O'Brien is a solid 3rd line center, he should be playing in ottawa. For me its overpayment to send Bishop, O'Brien, 3rd. |

it blows my mind how a Leafs fan can call any other franchise in the league pathetic, talk about irony.. .you really are just that dumb, you know nothing about hockey - SpoiledByOil
Are you slow? The Leafs haven't drafted 1st overall in decades...yet the Oilers can miraculously do it multiple times recently, yet still poop the bed. When are they gonna get better? How many more last places finishes will it take? |

As much as people knew Jarome wouldn't reel in that much of a return....I think people are going to be shocked at what J Bo brings back. I think he is highly sought after. He's the only top pairing D man on the market today. |

Dude it takes time...I dont want to defend the Oilers too much, but you can't expect these guys to dominate the league already. Especially without any support (or D) |

I don't really care what he said, until it was on paper the bruins should have shut their mouths. |

Yeah. I see a good fit there, just not sure why St. Louis would want him so bad.
I'd like Nyqvist (Sp?) and a first from Detroit (*wakes up*) |

I'm not familiar with O'Brien but 3rd line C we don't need. I think we have enough of those types in our system that at least 1 will stick. Unlike my Flames breatheren, O-G, I don't think a goalie is a top need. But, then again, we are in unchartered territory here with out captain just being traded. And who knows what the hell is going on with Kipper. I would rather focus on 1 solid needed prospect and a 1st. Young guys with top 6 capabilities for C or RW (we definitly have enough LW now) and top 4 Dmen, again preferrably with right shots. Preferably with size as our team is starting to become the new Montreal Canadiens (from 2 years ago). |

Woah Woah Woah.....that's pure speculation! To be honest, we don't necessarily need a Goalie...i'd much rather spend it on skill and size up front. |
