Quick update from PC press conference: Flames informed Bruins at noon yesterday that they had won the Iginla sweepstakes and that a trade with Boston was on the way, prompting the teams to agree to scratch the players that were being traded. - tyanderson
Man, that's effed up on Feaster's part. I seriously hope the Bruins and Pens meet in the playoffs resulting in the Pens getting thrashed. (frank) them. |

It's not the Penguins' fault. Why do people get so pissed off at team for trying to do everything they can to win the Cup? Is it bitterness because your team didn't do it? I don't get it. |

It's not the Penguins fault but don't tell one team they won the sweepstakes when they clearly didn't win. I'm not a Bruins fan but I hope they take out the Pens if it comes down to it. (frank) Iginla. |

So pretty much from the press conference, the Flames took the Bruins deal and Iginla went back on agreeing to a list, flat out picked the Penguins. That's really the only way the Bruins would have been told they got Iginla and then didn't get him.

I totally agree. Calgary and Feaster deserve all the ill will they get because of this. That doesn't explain all the hate directed at Pittsburgh though. |

sorry, meant no disrespect. i just live in bruin territory and being a sabres fan and their often lackluster performance my experience with boston and its fans hasn't been always pleasant.
obviously the bruins are an incredibly talented team, but the nhl isn't a best friends club its a business, and business is ruthless.
also, lets try to keep our insults team oriented maybe? |

i sincerely doubt it was feaster especially considering the scenario. iginla probably convinced them to go pit because it was what he wanted. |

Boston had a deal on the table and the trade was done...However, Iginla wasn't having it. It was his decision and he chose to play for the team that's going to give him the best opportunity to get his name engraved into Lord Stanley. Clearly, he made the right choice. |

can't say i'd be pleased if i was the bruins, but i had always figured they were gonna give to much to get him anyways.
i think not getting him will actually work out better for the bruins in the long run, assuming raask doesnt implode like the big cry baby he is - Putzfrau
Tuuks has temper. But to me it shows he's engaged. He has let in a couple of sofites but the Bruins defense is:

To be quite honest this whole situation reminds me of the Ray Bourque to the Aves situation. There were alot of rumors of where Bourque was going to land. |
