Simple. Pittsburgh was higher on his list than Boston. - buffalofan19
that would be my guess as well..... this has nothing to do which return was better. I would think that Iggy wanted Pittsburg and Feaster used 'the Boston offer' to get a better return from Shero.
I'd love to see Chirelli fly to Calgary and punch Feater in the nose for using him ...... that was dirty |

not the 1st time rask has done this...if subban develops into an nhl #1 goalie, rask def gets moved if this keeps up.... he's just as bad as gustavsson when he loses |

i think there's a reason a GM as smart as PC used a first round pick on a goalie despite having a 25-year-old starter. i don't think the B's are sold on this guy long term. |

I'd like to see subban be a solid #1. His performance at the juniors werent stellar and put a bit of a question mark on him but hes young with a lot of potential. I'd like to see the boston montreal games once subban is between the pipes and PK is trying to rip a couple in on him! |

Except it's more like a 2nd rounder by the time the Pens finish their season. - robbforthewin
I'm going to be hoping, praying and cheering that Pittsburgh and their poopty D and Goaltending get knocked out in the first round. |

From what I have heard from the NHL network(Kevin Weekes), this was 100% Iginla's choice. He wanted to play along side of Sid and Geno. I hate to say it but welcome to the NHL Pittsburgh Yankees. Now we just better win. |

You mean Keslering?
http://www.urbandictionar...define.php?term=Keslering - Iggysbff
not that i care but the bruins certainly aren't saints.
marchand is the new kesler in terms of dives. you'd think he works at a swimming pool and not at an ice arena.
urban dictionary is hilarious tho. |

I'm not feeling so bad anymore, Iginla wanted to be a Pen. The Bruins were used to get the price slightly higher.
@DarrenDreger: Some believe Iginla's choice to play with the Penguins was made long before the decision and trade was made final last night. |

ll first off, the media hype hounds jumped the gun & made horrible assumptions last night. They are more to blame than the player or team. Bruins knew it was a bidding war from the start. Shame on Chiarelli.A conditional 1st, what (frank)ing joke! Seeing the 2013 draft is before July 1 when Iggy's contract expired, we werent even talking a 2013 pick. Unacceptable. I understand it's a high price giving up a 2013 st1 for a potential rental. But we had to have it, we need it going into this draft, we need everything we can get to kickstart our rebuild. Neither Bruins or Pens prospects were overwhelming for our captain. The Bruin deal also would have maxed out our contracts to 50, handcuffing us on a JBO deal. The Pitt prospects are not on ELC contracts. If Iggy was that important to your cup run, then quit trying to steal him & lowball. A lousy stinking late 1st in 2013 would have made your offer better than Pitts. |
|
|
|
There are some that question both Iggy and Crosby's sexuality, and opine that this is the reason Iggy wanted to come to Pitt.
I personally don't believe that and in this day and age it should be a non-issue. |

this sounds suspiciously like a Hawks fan who's trying to avoid the Pens because he knows that the Hawks have the same type of speed as the Habs which is something the bs have a hard time with

IT WASNT A CONDITIONAL PICK! Feaster is a douche no matter how you look at it. If he was just driving up the price then how was all of Boston's Management so sure that they had it that they tell the media and their players?
The Pitt prospects re not even signed and one of them is a UFA in August.
Quit tying to defend this. IT's terrible. |

Quick update from PC press conference: Flames informed Bruins at noon yesterday that they had won the Iginla sweepstakes and that a trade with Boston was on the way, prompting the teams to agree to scratch the players that were being traded. |

I think this was the Flames sticking it to the Bruins and their owner.
Well played Calgary, well played. |
