There are plenty of bottom 4 D in the league that can skate better than Fraser, and still be physical. Mark Fraser is not that good.

I've always liked Bozak and Kadri. Bozak is just in the wrong position on the team as the number 1 center.

Not a big fan...he's played well, but he's nothing special and Toronto could do better, imo. That being said, i'd be ok with him being Toronto's 5th/6th D man going forward.

He's done great in that role with limited ice time, I've seen him make maybe 2 or 3 mistakes all year. Fights, hits and protects the net.

I like him just fine as bottom pairing defenseman. What we need is someone who can play with Phaneuf that isn't useless like Gunnarsson.

What makes you think that? Calgary is a complete rebuild mode, not sure why they'd go after a 36 year old Iginla for next year. Lots of teams will be after his services, I could see him signing a 3 year deal with a team at around 5-5.5mil per season. Iggy still has game left and wants to play and win (obvious from him waiving his NTC), so I really don't see him going back to Calgary.

So it's bang on then? A lot of these advanced stats still a work in progress.

Yost was in here yesterday, and I was buying what he was saying until he told me that because Mac was getting more shots not playing with Kadri, he was playing better apart from Kadri. I'm all for this moneyball poop, but results are (frank)ing results. I'd take a guy who scores 30 goals on 140 shots over a guy who scores 20 goals on 250 shots any day of the week.

Win in regulation tonight, and you can almost sow up a playoff spot. Carolina could still catch Winnipeg, for the division title, but there will be no 2nd team from the southeast. The Rangers, Devils and Islanders, will eliminate each other, so only two of that three will get in. As good as the Pens are, an 8th place finish for the Rangers, or Devils could cause an upset, with goaltending being the difference. It would be amazing, if the Pens get the boot, in round one, after all of their trades.

I'm not ready to hand Hamilton his first consistent NHL experience in the playoffs.

Drop a 3rd round pick on a guy like Smithson who's not much different but comes with experience.

I don't understand why some want to include Blacker in all the deals, we have three right handed shooting defensman in the whole system prospect wise, Blacker is the best of the bunch.

Maybe I'm bias because I follow the Marlies closely but we should not give up on this guy.
