Am I the only one that doesn't want Kipper on Toronto? He doesn't seem motivated at all, he's having a lousy season and has had injuries. I know he probably isn't getting moved, but if he somehow does, I hope it's elsewhere. - blahman20
100% do not want kipper.
one of the worst sv% in many years (including gus)
we have gotten very respectable tending..no need to waste assets now
|

|
|
so i imagine if they didn't want to get moved they would simply give a list of bottom feeder teams who aren't looking to buy? - dragus84
Has to be given before start of season..They could list teams they know wont want them.. |

I bet Washington hangs on to Ribeiro to try and make a late playoff push. Anybody consider the possibility of Brent Burns? - MapleLeafsFTW
Would prob take a lot to get him. Depends on price but that's what we'd be looking for I do believe |

I think it was posted earlier
NTC (player supplies 10-team no-trade list) - LeafMan
grabovski would immediately be put back into a number one or two offensive role on the flames.....he probably wouldn't mind. |

Imo, I don't think Washington will make it..but that's just me. If we can't get Ribeiro, then we should try for Statsny. I think Burns would cost a lot..
At the end of the day...I believe the Leafs will make the playoffs, but if we do, we NEED a vet or something better. Even though you might say, maybe we don't need to make moves and just keep what we have, but in reality, we need a playoff player...it would be good to have a vet. If there's a chance to upgrade, I say we do it. |

would you trabe Grabovski for crappy career AHLer and a second? - drexel
He isn't necessarily going to be a career AHLer, at the very least he could be a good checking line player. But if I was selling my team, trying to save money and get as many picks as possible I might consider Grabvoski for a similar deal. |

This may come as a surprise to some of you, but I don't know everything. I know. I know. "REALLY?" Yeah. Who are these prospects being dealt in the Iggy trade? Is it basically a 2nd rounder or Iggy? |

Toronto should be looking for a stay at home bottom pairing defenseman that could bring some physicality to the game. I'd also be looking for a bottom 6 forward with size. Who knows who's really out there, but that's what I see Toronto going after. - blahman20
We don't need a bottom 6 forward. |

It is a backward list, he names 10 teams he will not go to, so they can trade him to any of the remaining 20 teams. |

Toronto could use a big winger in the bottom 6, imo. |

Yup ....although I'd prefer a top 4 stay at home dman to pair up with Gardiner. |

What did it cost them? Setoguchi? They were playing him as a forward the other night so I don't think it would cost anymore and they are selling this year so who knows.
Washington might not make it but I doubt they're going to pack it in at the deadline. |

we need an improvement on our bottom 6...someone who can play hockey not just throw bombs.
I like having the goons around during the season, but no way we compete in the playoffs rolling meatheads. |

True, but that's a little harder to find at this time of year. I was just trying to be realistic, but yes a top 4 guy would even be better. |

fraser is a perfect bottom 6.
if he could skate he'd be top 4.....and someone like that costs 1st rounders and top prospects. |

If they got him for Setoguchi it wouldn't cost any more than the equivalent and because of injuries and such it might be a little less. |

Washington will be in the Hunt til the very end because only 1 team will make it from the Southeast and it will either be the jets, Caps or Canes as division winners. If we could somehow pass the Sens we would play them as well.
I think that a match up against the Jets or Caps favorites us. Canes not so much especially if Cam Ward is back.
If we stay in 7th then we need to pray the Habs stay in first. |

If I was to pick a player that would be better suited on the 4th line for playoffs that we have, it would be Hamilton. |
