Hey sexy avatar. The price for Boyle would be tooooo high. The only reason that Pitt got Iggy for cheap was that he has a NTC & he would only go tp Pitt, so Calgary's hands were tied. That won't be the case for the rest of the players who are available.

J Staal is a great player - Kessel is a great player...different style players..but you would probably find as many people like Staal as you would Kessel.

I can tell you...Staal wouldn't head for the hills when a body check is coming!!!

With his amazing passing ability, he can set up goals or score them himself. His passes are awesome. I would rather him than not have him. Many teams would kill for a talent like Kessel.

i don't know about a career PPG player. he's only had one PPG season, has he not?

i'm not gonna get into knocking kessel. i like him as a player.. he oozes talent.. theres no doubt about it.

my knock on him stems from his level of compete, and overall heart. he has a knack for not showing up at times, and playing like he couldnt care about it.

i think if we could find a player to take the star role away from him, we'd see a totally different kessel.

but to me, the heart, and all around package.. is what makes for a difference maker.

Jordan Staal is not the type of player you build a team around. He's a good second line center who will get you 50-ish points a year.

Jordan Staal used to be one of the most under-rated guys in the league. Now, he's one of the most overrated.

He's not even justifying his salary right now. I like him, too, but he is what he is. He's not in Kessel's range in terms of talent.

When J.Stall was in Pitt, I wanted the Leafs to get him to be Kessel's center but I would NEVER trade Kessel for either Stall.

many teams have a talent like kessel. it's the rest of the game that comes with having talent i find myself endlessly searching for.

i wouldn't say kessels as rare of a talent that a good chunk of the teams in the league are looking for a guy just like him.

i accept kessel for what he is, and i'm happy to have him. would like to see the team somehow add another feature player to take some heat off of him.
