Yes, these are the new Bettman playoffs.

That would be an awesome series too. In the first round though, I'd be more comfortable playing against a team like Winnipeg (another young team new to the playoffs) than Carey Price.

i dunno... we usually show up against montreal... even if price does sometimes as well... even if we lost i think the amount of cheering i would do in a habs leafs series would be sufficient to make up for the 8 years weve missed

That's my dream matchup, they haven't met in the playoffs since 1979, 34 fukken years!!!! That's a dam shame. I was 11 back than & I remember watching every minute of that seires. We need a new generation of Leafs/Habs playoff matchups.

it's far from all goaltending in the playoffs. i know.. its been so long.

against the habs or sens in a 7 game series.. our toughness will be huge. absolutely huge.

i'm confident offensively against both teams, and i think our defense stacks up well against them. price/anderson could steal a game or two.. but i don't think it's a series decider.

theres no chance montreal holds off boston on their heals for another 14 games.

especially once boston starts to load up in response to pittsburgh.

Carolina is a blip on the horizon. Their only hope is that the Jets meltdown and they win an incredibly pathetic Southeast division.

i'm pretty confident that boston holds it together down the stretch better than the habs. they're tougher, better balanced, more well rounded.. more experienced with this.

Sens are going to beat the Rags. Just as well. Let's just get set up, for the stretch drive. We'll keep the Canadian teams, 3 through 6. Let the Rangers and Devils, match up against the Bruins and Penguins. I wouldn't want to play an underachieving Rangers or Devils club, that just squeaks into the last two playoff spots. Too much playoff experience that might overwhelm the two top favourites.
