I think he's referring to Cyprus taking money from people who have over 100 grand in their bank accounts as "communism taking over the world"

Completely ignoring the fact that 90 percent of the countries in Asia and South America have now switched from Communism to Democracy in the last 30 years serves to help his argument...... stupid people tend to do that

Just yours.

Yes, because it's a bridge camera. I really need a $10,000 SLR because I don't need a camera for my line of work. In fact, I have not even used it this month.

I should go buy a Ferrari so I could go a block to get milk.

Awesome (frank)ing logic Gluckhole.

The main problem in my eyes is not so much the size of the government, but the efficiency (or lack thereof) of it. Poor decisions coupled with policy designed more to keep their own ass in a job rather than serving the population leads to a bad situation all round...
- lumlums

government doesnt need to be so big anymore

think about it

it was setup so we would have regional representation. in 1867 for someone to travel from London to Toronto it was over a day.. just to talk. Now.. we can communicat within a second.. milliseconds even.

we no longer need that many representatives.. they are a needless waste of our money. it wouldnt be hard for someone based in toronto to know what all of toronto is doing.. as of right now tho.. toronto has 22!!!

TWENTY (frank)ING TWO!! all of which draw a salary of at least 50K

thats over a million in salary (and its likely a hell of a lot more) to represent toronto alone.

By basic definition they're separate, but in practice thats unfortunately seldom the case. I'm a fan of places like Norway which have relatively small government and high taxes that ensure that all basic requirements (healthcare, education etc) are available for all at no cost.

There are entire cities in China built without a soul living in them, that bubble is about to pop real soon.

It is quite ludicrous. Maybe cut it down by 2/3rds and make sure that the people actually do their job rather than not showing up in the house etc...

Yea, communism is dead(stillborn, really)

But I think Capitalism in it's true sense has been killed, ever since the gold standard was removed. Money really only has the worth we give it... there is no hard backing for it.

The best video clip I seen was on Real Time with Bill Maher where he had a reporter ask hardcore Republicans what needed to happen to improve government and they all said the same thing "cut spending"

So the reporter asks ok..... where would you like to cut spending, how about...

National Defense........ no
unemployment benefits..... no
Health care........ no
Veterans benefits......... no
social security.......... no

Every single person replied no to every single category and when the reporter responded....... well what do you want to cut.

Only 2 of the 6 people had an actual answer, the rest just stood there looking like morons and the 2 that did answer said "uhhh the salaries of the politicians"

Which would serve to impact their deficit by .2 %

Ahhhh to be American and celebrate your ignorance

According to Gluckwad's logic. He'd spend ten grand for an authenthic Jenna Jameson pocket mouth for a blowbob rather than twenty bucks from a crackwhore on Sherbourne.

Yeah but we live in a country where the banks are protected more than they are in the US...

I agree with you tho..

- DoctorNHL

They have to be protected. If Canadian banks falter you can basically kiss this country goodbye.

Communism and Liberal democracy are both ideologies that will eventually die. Communism just had way more holes in it that caused it to fail much sooner.

Every ideology will eventually be corrupted to the point of complete failure. Just a matter of when it will happen.
