Yost was in here yesterday, and I was buying what he was saying until he told me that because Mac was getting more shots not playing with Kadri, he was playing better apart from Kadri. I'm all for this moneyball poop, but results are (frank)ing results. I'd take a guy who scores 30 goals on 140 shots over a guy who scores 20 goals on 250 shots any day of the week.

Yeah it doesn't compute. I still can't believe that the advanced stats are tryin to say steen bass been most productive player last 2 years.

Burns is playing Wing for SJ right now, isn't he? Or did they switch him back to D?
- blahman20

Wing and on the point for PP.

Love the idea ...but I think Clowe's gonna cost too much for the role you want to fill.

you do realize iginla is, at best, a 60 point player now right?
- Dozzer

Wow Really, you do realize playing with Crosby that Kunitz has 42 points this year right. You are seriously suggesting that Iginla wont produce at a point per game clip with the penguins.

I forget. Is 28 less than 25?
- Big_Lightnin

Blacker is 21, or is 25 an arbitrary age you assigned to players young enough to trade for? Burns is the perfect player to pair with Phaneuf. And is pretty much at most what we could hope for Blacker to turn in to.

I don't understand why some want to include Blacker in all the deals, we have three right handed shooting defensman in the whole system prospect wise, Blacker is the best of the bunch.

Maybe I'm bias because I follow the Marlies closely but we should not give up on this guy.

- LeafMan

I don't know why either. You go to a lot of Marlies games Lou....Drew MacIntyre, how does he look? I'm not asking because I think he has a future here, just always have been curious why he does so well in the AHL, but is such a journeyman. He's like the Crash Davis of the AHL.

honestly, he would probably end up on the second and the leafs would resign him....he's the type of guy they need and with Macarthur gone after the season it would give him a permanent spot on the 2nd line.

Burns is a righty and they would probably want one of Blacker, Finn, or Percy.

You're right, he's not very good and doesn't play on most good teams
- blahman20

Pens are pretty good, and he'd make their team (last week anyway).

I don't know why but I do know who he reminds me of, Joey MacDonald, he probably can come up play a few games for you but will fade after that. Just one of those best suited for the AHL.

I don't see your point. So he's versatile, Byfuligen played right wing too and can still play D.

I'm not ready to hand Hamilton his first consistent NHL experience in the playoffs.

Drop a 3rd round pick on a guy like Smithson who's not much different but comes with experience.

- The Law

not sure about this either...they are gonna try him at centre on the fourth line tonight...we'll see.

"Toronto Sun columnist Steve Simmons indicates that GM Dave Nonis would not mind to add a veteran goaltender, a depth forward and a top four defenseman, but that the possibility of any would depend on the cost.

If the Leafs can make only one move , which area do you think is the most in need of being addressed?"

I would rather that too, wasn't my dream trade just trying to be reasonable.
