Because he wanted to win the NCAA title before turning pro. He is too good for that league, basically wasted a year of development. |

Wow. I just ran to the corner store to grab some cash. An apparent superfan was there. Obviously a Detroit fan.
"That kid they just signed is one of those guys that was under the radar. He wasn't drafted because he just didn't have the skills needed. But from what I've read and I've seen this kid play he's phenomenal. He'll be the next Lidstrom bud. Mark my words. They needed somebody to fill in for losing Lidstrom. And this guy is it."
Store worker "Isn't it the same thing with that kid Edmonton got?"
Super Fan "No. Different. This guy is under the radar. But I'm telling you. I've watched him play and there's no denying it."
I just stood there shaking my head. His comments about watching him play were astounding. Dekeyser, as the guy didn't know his name...will be one of the top D men in the league for the years to come. |
