He's already been called up. You know what, I have an idea. Since you're so unhappy with being a Flyers fan, let's switch and become Pens fans. They've won 14 in a row and are heading to the playoffs. Let's head over to the Pens thread and start posting there.

Whatever floats your boat. When this teams cup drought reaches 70 years, you can defiantly shake your cane at anyone who speaks an ill word against them.

They need to stop rushing their youngsters just to keep the fan base and bottom line happy and try to win every year. They're misusing their resources if they're not going to allow their drafted players to grow in time.

I understand this sentiment, but top prospects seem to be going to the pros younger now, even D men. If the individual has done what he could at the lower ranks and doesn't look out of place with the big club, I'm not against it.

The Devils played Larsson right away, the Bruins brought Hamilton in after 1 yr. Some high picks like Hedman and Doughty went straight to the NHL, Bogosian, Schenn too...Seth Jones could be the first D man to be taken 1st overall in a long time. His frame, high hockey IQ and overall abilities could allow him to make the jump and have a positive impact sooner than later. There's a select group of guys in this draft that can make the jump right away, with most of the other prospects in the likely to require more development. We'll have to see who we get! I guess what I'm saying is that not all players, even D men, need to spend a few years getting their game together before being in the NHL...having said that, I'm ok if they need to give a top prospect another year or two...but if they do bring the guy in they just need to be careful about managing the young player's role, being sure not to lay too much responsibility at his feet and put him into a position to learn and succeed.

Trolling the Flyers fan base. This must be ESPN's LindrosBooBoo moniker in new clothing.

F the Pens and F Iginla, he's worse than a fair-weather fan running to the front-runner like that. I hope they lose in horrific fashion.

So awesome to come after a game and hear the same old song stuck on a loop.

The only thing more annoying than watching them play is the same old idiotic sarcasm that those who feel the coach is doing a bad job are blaming everything on him and at the same time lay all the blame on their chosen scapegoats.

If some of the posters in here were Jesus, the Romans wouldn't have had to nail Him to the cross, He'd have done it Himself

I don't have a problem with any ill will spoken against the Flyers. There is room for that this year. However when pretty much every post is negative in nature, then there might be an issue. Even when things are going well, negativity is the main theme.

Oh, please, by all means let's just say he's going to come in and make an immediate impact so as to not have to say we were wrong later when he's sent to the minors. I mean, no one on this thread has ever been wrong. We can pontificate and predict freely because it never gets documented or remembered when the predictions are so far in the future over a subject so dynamic that no one really cares about what was said three weeks ago, let alone six months or 5 years.

Not much of a fan of this team to want to see them lose and not give effort night in and night out.

What the Seravalli has happened to this fan base?

- Flyskippy

Tanking to get a better draft pick is a disgrace and total lack of respect for the game. Why not just use performance enhancing drugs and illegal equipment. Professionals should be playing to win or not at all. Thereby the fans ought to be rooting to win or watching a TV series.

I know of a former Flyers fan who became a Devils fan when the Flyers went south in the late 80's and traded a few of his favorite players away. So... it can be done. I sort of hope it does again (and again and again).

Well.. 'twas the reason he came to Earth. And that was His pattern. To lay His life down and have His followers do the same, to the glory of His Father.

The same people clamoring to lose will be the same people ready to kill jones or whoever if the flyers draft them after the the second consecutive bad game during their development. Except for exlund he seems pretty level headed.

Because performance enhancing drugs and illegal equipment would likely be counter-productive to tanking?
