I know Iggy is good but I just can't imagine him and Crosby ever being able to get it together to score in big games.

Chicago & Boston had more to offer & they did offer more. Iginla would go to Pittsburgh & only Pittsburgh. The 1st rounder was a given for all clubs interested. The Flames also got back 2 - 22 year old college " unsigned" draft picks. I know one of them was a 3rd rounder in 2009 not sure about the other. Alsi If I was to guess I would say the 1st would be 29th-30th overall. I thought the flames would get more, but Iggy is technically a rental.

I'm sick to my stomach! The Penguins don't have enough skill??! Jay Feaster WILL end up going down in the History books as being the GM who decided to be "nice" instead of trying to make a smart business decision; he might as well as just GIVEN the Stanley Cup to the Penguins! Even if he's trying to rebuild the Flames organization, he still just shot himself in the foot! Jarome: "I want to play with Sidney Crosby". wah. fml.

Don't hope that. If he was a bruin you'd be hoping he scores 100 goals.

Nothing, because they won't trade Vanek to a divisional rival.

Why... You really think Boston is going to offer a lot? They won't be like toronto offering up half the world.

Plus what if Boston resigns him... Yeahhhhhhhh not happening.

That's a lot to offer, especially because chiarelli already has come out to say "We the Boston Bruins, will NOT be trading Mr. Subban.

I believe that puts your trade to rest already. I personally just don't see them trading with buffalo. How many divisional trades are there? They tend to bite you in the ass. See Kessel, Phil. Sick player, but gave up waaay too much!

All this does is make Boston, Chicago etc... a little more aggressive with other trades.

Should be an interesting weekend!!!

Thank you for your infinite knowledge of hockey...I am bleesed to even be able to talk to you.

Chiarelli said that about Iginla who is 6-7 older than Vanek....and he also said that before his #1 competitor in the East started stacking the deck...

but then again...you apparantly know EVERYTHING

The actions of the Pens represent what ails the NHL. A team already loaded with highly paid players, loading up with even more highly paid players with seemingly no end to their bankroll or any care for the salary cap. The league should impose a limit on the addition of "franchise" calibre players during a season, otherwise how do other fiscally responsible teams ever compete? Why does a team with the best record in the Eastern conference need to add another team's top player? What bullsh*t. How about we allow them to add Subban, Anderson, Alfredsson, Gaborik, Zajac too? I'm sure they're not done adding yet...what a joke. I will be so happy to see this team out in the first round. Yankees anyone?
