Um no . We will bring in a player or two a year. Teams realistically should not have to bring in more than one new prospect a year.
- VANTEL

yeah that's a ridiculous metric, especially for deep teams that draft late...hell just look at Detroit, they purposefully take forever to bring up their prospects because they can afford to

actually rushing in all your prospects to the NHL as soon as possible can be incredibly stupid

Are you Ek's main source?
- AlexF

No that's Aaron Ward.
TSN and SN are his other main sources.

- flashfire

In the mix? He's a LOCK. It's going to be tough to stop Sweden with Lander's potential though.

Jankowski is an unknown...top 5 in freshmen scoring on a bad team

Feaster has also drafted Sven, Granlund, john gaudreau...the last two were 2 of the top three scorers at the last world junior tourney

If you see some of the twitter messages directed at him, one guy is telling him to kill himself.
- J-P

Sounds like typical Twitter. I doubt he's even reading that garbage.

Apparently Aaron Ward has been fired from TSN's panel following his Iginla to Boston announcement. He's trending on twitter.
- J-P

this one hoodwinked literally everyone in the hockey media up until the minute it was announced (well, I guess Bob had it about a minute before Feaster spoke but still) so it's a little unfair

Agree with this. I'd much rather bring up a guy who's been ready for awhile instead of a player who isn't ready yet.

Gotta admit that I'm happy for ek tonight. He wasn't alone in blowing the biggest trade of the season... his blowing it proved how much he sucks at pre -Richard -ting ...trades of course

don't start the Jankowski thing, it's just an endless debate that won't get resolved until he actually gets close to the NHL which is several years away (personally I still think it was a dumb pick but I'm also sick of the debate)

i think they probably could have done it last year and gotten more. definitely should have traded Kipper the day his NTC expired

hell, I remember Feaster making an empty threat to blow up the team before last year's deadline; I think he got yelled at by King after that stunt

- S Kaspar Rollins

If they let him make this trade, he is back next yr. If so, I hope to see how his investment returns. And what he does for JBo, and Sarich
This is his line in the sand, separating himself from the past. And he gets ragged on too much for DSutt.
However- Babchuk and Sarich limited NTC- indefensible.

also Teravainen, a prospect the Blackhawks already consider untouchable and who was dropping in the draft, who the Flames had a shot at, but traded down to get Jankowski instead

Feaster isn't getting fired anytime soon, because all he's done is try in vain to fulfill ownership's insane goal of still trying to make the playoffs with this group, and i still don't think he's done the same long-term damage as, say, Sutter was before he got canned. (But yeah those Babchuk and Sarich deals were indefensible).

That said, one can't make excuses for him anymore, because it's now 100% his team and his rebuild.
