I can't imagine being a Bruins fan today, and after that tough loss to MTL.; get some relief that you just picked up Iginla for nothing; and then you go to sleep & have a nightmare that Bettman later awarded Iggy to the Penguins for LESS than nothing; and when the B's fan woke up, it turned out to be for REAL!!!

Bettman's Penguins = Fixed!

Not quite as devastating as the Buckner grounder in '86; but at least the Red Sox made up for that in 2004 vs. the Yankees!!!

Bruins definitely need to make a move now; likely at a bigger cost than orginally thought. Ryan Whitney is definitely a possibility but likely useful only in the case of injuries. Unless they run a 7 D-lineup with Whitney QBing the PP.

They already have plenty of toughness so they should be targeting offense.

My guess is Derek Roy from Dallas and Hemskey from Edmonton

Then you can run:

Roy - Krejci - Lucic
Horton - Peverley - Marchand

Not sure why people are jumping all over Ty for this blog. He said "it is reported" that Boston acquired Iginla. And Aaron Ward on TSN did report it was a done deal. What did you want him to do, wait for a press conference before posting his blog.

My guess is that a deal was agreed between Boston and Calgary. A source let Ward know and he tweeted it. But then Iginla, who has a no-trade, did not agree to go to Boston and Calgary had to take the Penguin offer.

I am sick and tired of bruin fans embellishing every iggy trade report, I mean come on, one blogger throws up a report and ....

Can't wait to hear all the bruin back peddling on this one

The Bruins made the better offer, Iginla chose the Penguins. I can't fault him, he made the right choice IMO. What a depressing night that was. Wow.

Marchand of all people, complaining about diving. It would be pretty much the same if Kesler was calling it out. Don't get me wrong, he's a great player but come on B fans - He's one of the worst divers in the league. As a Canucks fan, I fully admit, along with every other fan that Kesler's antics drive us nuts. For some reason, Boston fans don't seem to appreciate how bad Marchand is.
