Lindback, Connolly, 2014 1st for Miller + ? - kingcong39
Way way way too much. The market for young goaltenders has been set at a very high level. Lindback was traded for 2 2nds. Bobrovski for a 2nd and 2 4th's. Varlamov the year before for a 1st and a 2nd. If Lindback goes the other way in a Miller deal, you can take Connolly and the first out and add a smaller piece, otherwise this deal or one very similar is nothing but highway robbery. |

You are not getting Miller for nothing, and I would almost guarantee that Connolly would have to be part of the deal.
Regarding your first round pick, I get why you don't want to move it, but with Miller, you will be a much better team, and if that doesn't work for you, the first round pick can always be for the 2014 draft instead. - kingcong39
Understood he won't come cheap. I'm just speaking from the perspective of the Bolts and the amount of quality prospects we have that I don't want Connolly involved in a deal for anyone much less Miller. You can pretty much book that the Bolts won't deal our 2013 1st as it stands now it's looking like a top 10. Personally I don't think the Bolts would deal for Miller until the offseason anyways when we can deal salary elsewhere and/or buyout to get some cap space. |

To be honest I don't want to trade Miller in our own division. IMO would take big overpayment by Tampa. |

That's what I'd like too, but I doubt they will buy him out. |

Except the whole reason why your team is 3rd in goals for, yet you have a losing record is because of goal tending.
To Tampa:
Miller
Sekera
To Buffalo:
2013 1st
Eric Brewer
Lindback
Kucherov
Brewer and Sekera are added in to make the salary work. You will take on $3.325M in salary, and make upgrades at both positions. Sabres get a replacement for both players now, plus a prospect and the 1st, which is really a starting point. |

Still way too much. I understand why the Bolts have struggled, and contrary to what everyone who doesn't watch every Bolts game thinks it is not singularly b/c of shoddy goaltending. I'm not saying that Lindback has been awesome, but he is not the only reason we are ranked as low as we are either.
That being said, no deal with what you offered. Again, the market for young goaltenders (like Lindback, Bobrovski, and Varlamov) has already been clearly defined. Yet you want Lindback, Kucherov, and a top 10 pick this year??? No thanks and Yzerman will say the same if thats what Regier asks for.

I could see this working only if a 3-way deal is initiated.
To Tampa:
R. Miller
To Buffalo:
R. Malone
B. Connolly
2nd Round
Again; I doubt they would want neither of the current goalies TB possesses, I believe the only way this would is if LA joined the party and worked out a Bernier deal to Buffalo. |

As much as Buffalo fans are going to hate that deal, I think that's what they're looking at if a deal goes down. Nice proposal.

Im not quite sure I see this value in Lindback that you so clearly think hes worth a 1st round pick and a 2nd round pick, or a 2nd round pick and a 3rd round pick. His value has decreased since he became a starting goalie. He doesnt appear to be doing well as a starter of a team that should be in a playoff spot, but is below a terrible Sabres team in the standings.
Kucherov isnt even a top grade prospect, in fact he has a poor probability of success grade in the NHL.
Brewer is a salary dump.
The deal entirely revolves around your 1st round draft pick, which if you add Miller now will probably catapult to a mid first round pick, anywhere from 13-18. |

We can spectulate all we want, but I am pretty sure NOTHING is honing to happen between these two teams. |

I'd rather go after a hefty contract and Luongo if going after Miller means Connolly and the first is on the table. Luongo's a better goalie anyways. Contract isn't great, but from a hockey perspective I'd take Luongo over Miller any day of the week. |

That deal has zero chance of working. No dice.
Put a real, actual team in front of him and he would be light years better.
He has been literally under siege all year. |

I doubt it. Garon is the number one right now, and it's probably better for Helenius' development that he continues to play a lot. |

Do you think Malone is our top buyout candidate? I love his style of play and his locker room presence, but he's freaking made of glass.
As much as people rag on Brewer (me included), he hasn't been THAT bad. We'll probably keep him around.
I'm still up in the air about Aulie, maybe Jon can bring the big mean kid out of him again. I would like Korobov to get a spot, but that would mean Aulie would either be traded or assigned to Syracuse. |

If they can't get anything for Malone via trade in the summer, yes. |
