I think the only reason we need is the return. Bartowski is not going to be anything better than a 5-6 d-man. Khocrochev is maybe a second line center but undersized. Report on him is that he is also not a great skater. Not a great combination. And then the CONDITIONAL first rounder. I mean are you seriously saying flames could not have gotten better. I agree that sutter would have done worse but that really isnt saying much. The bruins offered koko + a 2nd rounder for MORROW. Are you seriously saying that iggy is worth almost the same as morrow? - flamesnation1
Dude- I get it, Calgary is a punching bag, and anything short of victory is hated.
This isn't that bad. We KNEW Iggy wouldn't be back. We KNEW we needed a Center. A depth prospect that could slot in #1 in our ranks? Win.
Picks? I stopped caring about them when realizing how many Calgary blows. Conditional or not, who cares, it's a crapshoot at 28-30.
I am happy. I 50/50 thought he'd walk for nothing. Feaster did well. Ppl are going to hate. Boston fans were defending Alex and shocked he'd be mentioned before the trade. He is the continuation of the Nieuwy-Iggy-Khok trade train. The rest is window dressing. |

48 pts in 29 games with Windsor ... what a failure - Double_A
Thank you. I love ppl assassinating Boston's great farm now that a bit becomes under Calgary's cloak.
Bunch of uninformed ppl posting failure here. Check your knowledge first.

You just listed all the reasons why this was a brutal trade and followed it up by saying you're happy. He did walk for pretty much nothing, I dont think you've come to understand this. |

Agreed. The jury is going to be out on this one for a while. Who knows how Khochalev will pan out as well as their 1st rounder. Bartowski seems like a throw in. Reminds me of the Eric Johnson, Jay McClement, & 11th overall pick to Colorado for Shattenkirk, Stewart, & Colorado's 2nd (early 2nd round that landed Ty Rattie); it seems like a lopsided trade initially, but when prospects/picks are involved, who knows how it will play out. Remember how Philly got the best of Quebec in the Lindros deal? What team went on to win cups? |

Khokhlachev is great prospect to have however, real upside.

They could of picked Subban with that pick but nah...lets take a random in the first round then try to trade iginla for subban later on. Makes sense. |

I couldn't have imagined a deal worse than this. The 1st rounder is conditional so we may not even get the most important part of the deal. Feaster deserves to be fired I've had it with him. We need somebody competant. I would have rather let Iggy walk as a UFA than give Boston the satisifaction of knowing they fleeced us of the bestt player to play for our team. This is a sad sad day. |
