I didn't say coddled. I said their buttons pushed. It's the complete opposite.

And it's the coach's job to do that. Rolston seems to be hitting a few more than Lindy did. But not a whole lot more.

It's possible. Though Myers has looked good of late. I didn't see last night's game as I was at a concert myself, but he hasn't been nearly the trainwreck he was at the beginning of the season.

I think for him the issue is 100% a conditioning thing. He just can't keep up and play the game he wants to and it causes him to make huge mistakes. I would hope that having this happen 2 years in a row is enough of a wakeup call for him to realize he needs to change things this summer.

They have a ton of injuries right now. Not to mention the guys that have been recalled to the Sabres. McNabb is out and Pysyk is in Buffalo. That's their top defensive pairing missing. It makes a huge impact.

They're also playing the 2nd best team in the league.

I just want consistency. His puck handling and poke checks are much improved but I want him to hit much much more.

Nope. He's not available. It's big shoes to fill. Which is why I think I might just ride it with him on the bench and hope he has a speedy recovery and is back in the 7-10 days they're saying. I projected to go over for games played on D at the moment anyway, so I'm gonna have to manage that as well. It's making me think my best option is to just leave him on the bench for now.
