I hated the Goat head jersey's.


Whoever it was that thought it was a good idea to change color scheme's should be tarred, feathered, racked, stoned, kicked in the testicles, punched in the mouth, and then burned at the stake.

maybe so, but sadly, the best sabres hockey i've ever witnessed has been in those jerseys. the best sabre i've ever seen in that jersey (hasek). I love the originals though and am glad i'm at least old enough to remember those, my younger siblings don't. mogilny and lafontaine too were pretty great pre-red and black.

Raask is such a baby. I love when the bruins lose. And they are gonna do something stupid to add iginla and be even worse

25 yr old shut down dman. Takes a good while to master that job, and he's come a long way toward that mastery. Bad fighter, but gritty as hell, stands up for his mates, huge heart and compete. He has surprisingly good Corsi stats. I'd bet he winds up more valuable than 5/6.

Jersey changes are inevitable but color changes are rarely done. It was like they were trying to get used in a hip hop song like the Kings, Raiders, and Bulls.

Hell even Colorado kept the same base colors when they moved from Quebec, they just changes the shades.

Red for Maroon
Blue for a deeper blue
White for white.

yeah, now it bothers me a lot more. i remember when it first happened, i wasn't the biggest hockey fan (i was young and hockey tickets were considered expensive and a luxury at my house) and i was pissed the cool logo went away. i remember "getting into hockey" during the 98 playoffs and from there i really liked and embraced the red and black jerseys. when they got rid of those (and the ugly 3rd jersey) i really hated the angry cashew and refused to buy it, but DID buy up a ton of original logo stuff during that time. i'm glad the old logo is back. the jerseys don't bother me as long as that crest is back and at the forefront.

I got my Stafford, slug jersey for like 40% off years ago. I debated whose name to put on it. Max or Staff, only because I wanted who would be on the team the longest. Now, when Stafford is dealt, it will be obsolete.
