Kind of contract thats quite nice to use a compliance buy out on too. Why I suggested Stafford the other for Heatley. Makes more sense spending $5M for a 7.5M cap space than $8M on a 4M cap space.

If we cant get Stafford unloaded for anything of good value, I'd take Heatley if Minnesota is trying to unload him, which I heard they were. Even if we took on his salary and didnt plan to buy him out, we are left with 10.3M in cap space to sign about 7 players, and only Hodgson and Weber will see over 1M out of who we have to resign.

Move Stafford for a bag of feces and three Zamboni tires and everyone's mood will improve. If only for day or two. That's what I would like to see.

Hodgson's going to get a significant raise. There's no way he doesn't. That's going to eat up a big chunk of that 10M available.

Rochester hasn't allowed a goal during the last 2 games. Lieuwen had a 39 save shutout Sunday and Leggio had a 38 save shutout today.

They said we weren't wearing one this year. That jersey was supposed to only be for the 40th anniversary year. It was a commemorative jersey. But they ended up wearing it longer than that.

IMO jerseys are only useless if you wear another team to the sporting event you're going to or a different sport entirely than the sporting event you're going to. Anything else is fair game. I applaud the guy that rocked a Perreault jersey to every Sabres game I went to in Philly.
