That's a good thing to be honest.
He swung for the fences and we all hoped he won with Weber..he tried with the other 2 UFAs and it didnt work out.
I am glad he didnt rush into anything else once it was clear this season was a washout.

I think they could land players with seriously good promise into the 3rd and after that the scouting will really take over with whomever they select.

I don't care how old he is. He still plays at a level well above 3rd pair. And they're paying him 6M next year. Timonen is going to be used in all situations next year, and used a lot. Look at how Boston is using Hamilton. Lots of offensive zone starts. Keeping him away from top lines. Hard to do that with a young defenseman if he's going to be paired with Timonen.
