Honestly he's trying his best to not get people riled up. 2 Bruins prospects were scratched as well. Iginla will be traded tonight!!!

When was the last time a star player just "sat out" a game to "protect the asset" cant remember the last time that happened
Plus this would've been Iginla's last home game with the Flames... and hes NEVER injured...
Nice try Bob

Can't tell you I've ever seen a team put out a release indicating a player will be a healthy scratch. Shows you what a huge moment this is.

If there is somehow the Flyers could get Iginla at anything close to reasonable in the summer, I'd be all in.

For some aging players I wouldn't, but for Iginla I'd take a risk on a 35+ contract. He would provide a lot to the young kids.

I expect he's going right back to Calgary, after all the hullabaloo about neither side wanting to be the 'bad guy'.

Halifax sweeps Saint John

Jonathan Drouin had 10 points
Nathan MacKinnon had 7 points
Zachary Fucale had a 1.00 GAA

If not the Flames, some team will offer him north of 4.5 million, probably on a 2 or 3 year deal.

No thank you.

I wouldn't unless he would sign a one year deal. Flyers have bigger needs.

I'd even do that.

Iginla would be just what this team needs imo to give them a kick in the ass and heading toward the right culture of hard work, and the right attitude.

Until he gets injured then the cap is screwed while you have a bunch of young players to re-sign. Our top 6 is pretty well set. Honestly it's the least of my worries with this team.

Thats true for sure, I just dont know how they will be able to fix all of those. I think they will have to take their time and go to the draft myself.

I do think he goes back to Calgary if anywhere, but crazy things happen.

Big Flyers news..... While the Bruins and Penguins are in an arms race to try and win the Cup, the Flyers have unveiled their new under armor gear.

Here is the way I look at it. Regardless they have to draft. Even if they were having a very good year. And whoever they draft, it's going to take time for that player to develop. The Flyers are going to make some kind of move. They always do. I think it will be at the draft or in the off season. One of the young forwards on the team likely won't be here next Season.

Any guess as to who? Or who would you deal?

This team just is just weak, from top to bottom. They are an embarrassment. Last night I shut the game off at 2-0, knowing there wasn't a chance of a come back.

I can think of two players that have been good this year, Rinaldo and Simmonds. Really Rinaldo is the only one on the team that deserves credit this year.

Andrej Meszaros is out indefinitely again with a shoulder injury suffered last night. Have to wonder if his season is indeed over.

I have no idea who. I would deal any of them in the right deal. But I find it very difficult to choose who I would move. Because I really like all 3 of the tradeable players, B Schenn, Voracek, and Couturier.

I think Read would be traded. Too many forwards to pay.
