Generally agree. But don't expect us to trade for established assets. Our potentially acquired 'assets' would come in the form of more picks. I post the 2015 date because I think with every week that passes further with little to no activity, that theory is proven true. In addition, and as I posted at length the other day, I think Wang feels totally unmotivated to dump money into a black hole simply to allow Nassau County and SMG to profit while he still loses money. So to some degree, I've bought into the 'He doesn't care about winning' but only until 2015.

OK. Like I said Snow can still trade these guys for picks, prospects, etc which will have no affect on payroll. It's not a viable excuse. You can say 2015 all you want but moves like that will only help the team and not affect payroll. Resigning a player like Boyes is nothing short of laziness. If snow can't see he is ineffective than there is something wrong. Wang is not an excuse if Boyes is resigned. As far as your theory of 2015 what are you going to say when that date comes and Snow is sitting in his office with his thumb firmly planted in his own a$$ come the offseason? Inactivity does'nt prove your theory, especially when it does'nt effect payroll. The only thing it proves is that Snow is an inept GM.

I agree that we should trade them for picks/prospects, however the team is presently still in the playoff race so I can't place any bets on what Snow does or doesn't due between now and next week. Word was that he was going to be sure not to have another PA situation this year and would be more proactive to sign guys or deal them. We'll see.

As for my 2015 'theory', It would make no earthly sense for this team to not go all out once they're in Barclays. They will finally be profitable and based on advertisers, Barclays and newfound media attention, the team will be under a good bit more outside pressure to perform. Beyond that, Wang will also finally be on a foundation that allows him to profit.

From a simplistic, open-minded point of view, consider that this team is still losing $16 million per season. So if he dumped $10 million more in salary, those loses climb to $26 million...for what? To maybe make $2-$3 million more in sales? Nassau and SMG make huge profit shares of those admission prices so if Wang spends more, to lose more, he's essentially throwing money away just to help Nassau and SMG (two entities he despises) make more money. I think he's rather bitter towards both parties and is more than willing to eek things out until he can get out of that building. Hence...2015

I would have said Murray from San Jose but Pitt beat us to him. My next choice would be Bernier. He would solidify our goaltending for years.

What do you think of Kipper saying he won't report if he is traded @ the trade deadline?

Sounds like Isles material to me!!!

My Uncle turned me onto the trailer park boys a couple of years ago. I think I watched the entire series in about 2 weeks on Netflix. Pretty much the funniest show ever.

I can't watch Boyes and Reasoner another minute. Boyes is like a human flat tire on that first line. He's killing them. I've bashed Okposo and Bailey left and right around here, but as UIF has mentioned, if the Okposo-Nielsen-Bailey line can be our 3rd line next year, I'm good with that. They've been playing good hockey, but then again, Okposo and Bailey always turn it on toward the end of the season, so it could just be their typical end of the season hot streak.

Did everyone see Reasoner's brutal misfire right in front of the net? He was wide open, and whiffed from point-blank range. Glad his contract is up after this season.

I hate Reasoner... hate. most of you know how much I give guys on this team the benefit of the doubt. He stinks and I am sick of him being on this team. All I hear about is how he wins so many face offs but when you desperately need a face off win and he is the center it seems to me he loses them cleanly. .... He is taking up a spot that can be someone from B-port who is a better player.

Joey diamond!! Long Beach's finest ... very happy about that sign.

He has obviously not seen the new Gieco commercial with the Driving Pig and the one where the pig is on the airplane.

This is so true. I figured we kept him for the same reason we had Kip Miller a few years ago...faceoffs...WRONG. This guy stinks on them too.
Both Cizikas and Aucoin have higher faceoff percentages than Reasoner. Tavares is only slightly behind. The guy simply does NOTHING well.

Yeah, also...winning faceoffs is valuable and all, don't get me wrong, but it's a lot less meaningful if you win it and are immediately essentially shorthanded by having Reasoner out there...

Reality is they should just waive Reasoner now and either bring up Ullstrom or maybe even let Anders Lee get some time if he is signed when his college season ends.
