I'm willing to let Moulson work through his slump, but Boyes is simply not a top line player. Unfortunately we all know there will be little to no activity from this team by the trade deadline and it would be highly unlikely that they'd insert a call up into the top line.
My greater concern is that while Moulson and Tavares have a great chemistry together, for Jt to take the 'next step', he needs a bit more skill around him. Until kids like Kabanov, Nino, Strome and Nelson all mature into their eventual roles, we're stuck in neutral.

Enough of the BS. Snow has to make some sound decisions, enough with the excuses. I can hear them all already about we did'nt do this or that bcs we were close to the playoffs. Get rid of Streit, Boyes, Okposo. Get something for these guys and move on. Time for Garf to be a GM and put his big boy pants on. Don't take the easy way out and resign sub par players. I think if Tavares plays one more shift with Boyes he's going to implode.

Funny, its not the highest paid team that wins, its the team that plays one system and with heartbeat.

If not, why are the Rags not #1 in the standings, wiht all of the other teams that pay to the cap. Love it when the underdogs do well.

Because I don't think the Rangers were ever as good as some people think they were. They got by with a blue collar defensive mentality over the last couple of years (something very unRanger-like). Now they've shifted their focus on a more offensively oriented team and are no longer holding anyone to 1-2 goals per night. Henrik has also not been that great this year.

As for playing with 'heartbeat'....around these parts, we refer to that as 'Battle Level'

Unfortunately the Boyes "experiment" is destined to continue. From the way Snow defended the signing and use of Boyes in that Howie Rose interview it's obvious that he's not going to abandon it. In his mind I don't think he can, even if he admits to himself that its a failure.

enough of this BS too . Besides not being able to trade players for assets has very little to do with payroll aka your excuse for inactivity from our GM. Dumping salary via trade and bringing it back through FA or otherwise is something he should not be handcuffed by nor do I believe he is.

It's this way of thinking that makes Snow not an effective GM.

I was at the game, and I sponsor a couple of kids to go to the game as well. It is a nice thing the boys do for the kids in the area.

Sim, still wears the Jersey with pride.

Generally agree. But don't expect us to trade for established assets. Our potentially acquired 'assets' would come in the form of more picks. I post the 2015 date because I think with every week that passes further with little to no activity, that theory is proven true. In addition, and as I posted at length the other day, I think Wang feels totally unmotivated to dump money into a black hole simply to allow Nassau County and SMG to profit while he still loses money. So to some degree, I've bought into the 'He doesn't care about winning' but only until 2015.

I can't watch Boyes and Reasoner another minute. Boyes is like a human flat tire on that first line. He's killing them. I've bashed Okposo and Bailey left and right around here, but as UIF has mentioned, if the Okposo-Nielsen-Bailey line can be our 3rd line next year, I'm good with that. They've been playing good hockey, but then again, Okposo and Bailey always turn it on toward the end of the season, so it could just be their typical end of the season hot streak.
