So what do we do now that Boston got Iginla? Stay put and happy with Morrow/Murray? Could you see the Pens making any other move?

Skille 4th line
Glencross 3rd/2nd

Done!

I could be coked out with nothing in the room but a copy of NHL13 and still not make as many moves as you propose.

your all going to be pissed bc its hemsky for a 3rd and tk
- nh4442

If TK play everygame like last night, I wouldn't want to trade him.

Isn't Hemsky fragile? We'd be better off getting someone tough to play against.

This is the time of the year to think who you'd want on your team, if available. Not thinking about anything outrageous, just real possibilities.

from clouts:
If I'm right about what is going to occur, this could be my Scoop of the Year.

It sounds like the Calgary Flames have a deal in place to move Jarome Iginla to Boston. It is believed the Bruins will give up a 1st round pick and two prospects in the deal.

Hold your breath folks...there is an Oilers angle to this.

The Oilers will be dealing defenseman Ryan Whitney, Magnus Paajarvi, and a third asset (Anton Lander perhaps) to the Boston Bruins for Milan Lucic. Then Paajarvi will be shifted to the Flames as part of the Iginla deal.

Team is fine right now. The only thing to make this team better is a healthy Malkin and Letang, and now fleury.

Kunitz-Crosby-dupuis
Neal-Malkin-Bennett
Cooke-sutter-morrow
Kennedy-Vitale-Adams

Letang-eaton/Despres
Martin-Orpik
Niskanen-Murray

That's a tough team to play and matchup against

Do you really believe Bennett will be our 2nd line LW?I have my doubts but if it happens I'll support it.

He's been forechecking and hitting more. His confidence has skyrocketed. Leave him there at least until a couple games before the season over to see f he improves

dupes and kuni are getting older.. sid needs to build chemistry with bennett asap... could be the next lemieux/jagr, gretzky/kurri, neal/malkin

Im not as tied up in playoff line combos as some. Dress your best 12 forwards in the playoffs. The more interchangable the top 9-10 are in that they can move up and down the lineup, the better off you will be

really glad we are holding onto our 1st round pick. I wasn't too keen on trading it for anyone given how deep this draft is supposed to be.

in all seriousness, Iginla going to Boston doesn't scare me at all. they were already a physical team, I don't see how this solves their scoring problems.

Yea, Kuni and duper still have at least 2 more good years in them with Sid. On any other team they are probably already over the hill

I would have liked to see the Pens add J. Jokinen. I think he's solid on faceoffs and can play top 9. SUprised nobody else picked him up. How did B. Morrow look last night? Stat sheet says nothing, I haven't heard his name in quite some time and not sure how he'll fit.

Iginla in a B's uniform will be nasty to play against in playoffs.

so we just keep that line and put bennet down on 3rd/4th line for two yrs...

hmm sounds like jeffrey, tangradi, johnson etc... every other top prospect who was top 6 in AHL and should have been top 6 in NHL but never given the chance...until it was too late

How come malkin has neal for the next 5 yrs and Sid has two guys while playing well now are over 33...(maybe 32, not real sure) shouldnt sid get a guy like ryan, eberle, neal to compliment him the next 5-7 yrs or does he get all the older guys so he can make them look good...

Sid does better with old guys, with above average hockey IQ. IMO Kunitz is a better player than Neal, all around. It's not like Sid is not getting anything in his line. Urban legend. He does maximize their skills though.
