He says that he may not report. I never heard anything about him retiring though.
- faceto27

If he doesn't report - it's just like retiring - not playing and not getting paid.

I agree. But when you pay them that type of cash, if they don't want to report to a new team, what does a guy do?
- bixll

Ya I know, just really bothers me when I see athletes do carp like this. As if their entitled to it. I feel bad for Calgary. They have along way to go to bounce back as it is with out players screwing them over.

Most of the shots were from the outside. The defense style the leafs play force a team to make shots from perimeter. I wouldn't get too caught up in the shots on goal stat. Its the quality chances a team gets that is the important one.
- faceto27

I watched the game, we didn't look great, Scrivens made some great saves and guys going around Gardiner and out front of the net are not perimeter shots - leafs rebounded well after 1st 60

The players that do not have the NTC should be required to report, by the NHLPA. JMO.

All I've ever heard is my old man complaining about it... I'll take your point of view into consideration though !

Ya I agree the shot totals have been very deceiving this year. They've been playing a rope to dope game. With the leafs speed and actually having the talent to use it in transition. I think this system is perfect for this team.

Gardiner really needs to go back to the AHL. He was brutal last night.

Terrible atmosphere at the ACC eh?

I went on Saturday, you'd think with Mats being honoured and a huge Saturday night game against Boston the place would have been rockin'.

It was a pretty boring atmosphere. (I had a great time and all don't get me wrong)
But I would of expected the place to go wild

Sad really.... For the first win over the B's in a long time. You think the roof would be blown off that place.

Its a Toronto thing, I think. Even Jay games are boring and dull. Though this year may be a bit different. I often feel like im being a douche by making noise in either building, which I am, but I do it anyways. The problem is, with the Leafs, it's the average joe thats the real rowdy and passionate fan. The lower bowl is too snooty and too passive and it buzzkills the rest of the building.

Yes it was pretty brutal. I was center ice in golds and nobody was cheering except me. I half think people are still scared to cheer in case we dont make the playoffs. Been too many let downs. I heard guys screaming go leafs go but it fell on deaf ears.
It sucks that its suits down there
