And according to Jeff Marek, Bo Horvat is NHL comparable to David Backes.

Probably best pick ups that could be available for the leafs are guys like rychel, lazar, or domi. Even that gauthier kid 6'5 210 pounds big boy.

Havent heard much of this horvat kid though

Not much talk about Morgan Reilly yet...

although Hockey News had this to say...

Since his Moose Jaw Warriors missed the Western League playoffs, Rielly jumped to the ‘A’ and promptly played three games in three days. The skilled and speedy blueliner notched a goal in his debut and most importantly, fired tons of pucks on net throughout the weekend. Drafted fifth overall by Toronto in 2012.

If we continue to draft well, we can continue to develop these kids and have a wonderful future.

I'm all for drafting Domi, Horvat or Rychel. This is also why I say try and get a 2nd 1st in this draft, even if it's late. Just so much talent touted in the first round, and grabbing 2 centers, or even a center and a Goalie could go along way for the Buds.

what you need is regehr. throw stafford into the mix and send gardiner, a 2nd and 4th the other way.

I'm high on Fucale. Even Comrie. One of the two would be a fantastic use of a 2nd 1st, and leaving our first draft pick for a center (or even another 2nd) can't hurt, even if everyone else thinks otherwise. Need more "Umph" on our backend and guys like Pulock and Zadarov could be interesting. 2nd round is also interesting with guys like Samuel Morin, Comrie and an interesting USHL prospect named Tyler Hill. Looks like the next Lucic if he pans out. Didn't know anything about this kid til' last week.

I'd love to hear from Frenchie on guys in the K who are not so highly touted or often missed. Just not enough coverage or info over here.

Lmao.

We could use some old guy that isn't wanted by their own team for their crappy play, but not Gardiner who is a young talent with a lot of positive plays?

Alright bud. Thanks for the advice.

Lmao, pretty sure he wasn't serious you guys, relax. That said, "therealagent", do you like those new jerseys? <<<(avatar) I'm a Leaf fan from Van and my canuck fan cousins hated them. They said it reminded them of a rugby team lolll. Personally i liked them actually, but i think you guys should go back to black, yellow and red, with the hockey stick on the front instead of the skate. That'd be sick IMO. I GET why you guys got the green and blue, as it works with the environmental feel, here in BC, but black, yellow and red just had this toughness and edge to it, IMO those were the better jerseys and should atleast be a third jersey if nothing else.

It's hard to picture Ryan "The Diver" Kesler in anything "tough."

Who cares, that wasn't my point. Diver or not, Kesler is a good player, personally i wouldn't want him on the Leafs if he kept doing the diving thing but eh w.e, who am i to judge, for all we know, maybe its Vigneault that gets them diving.

If we could get Kripisoff I think we can go deep in the playoffs.

Get him for very little of course

He's not leaving Calgary.

I think we should roll what we have and give them a fair shot. Patience.

I think we can go a round for sure. All depends is where we slot into the top 8. If we're anywhere between 4th - 6th, there's a good chance we'll play the habs or jets/canes. All teams we can take imo.
