All I'm saying is that if it were that easy everyone would be doing it. - aminnes
Players are superstitious... that is why they don't change as much.. but guarantee you it is the wave of the future... just like in golf.. if you have the same make of stick.. the length has very few different means... I actually used to use different models altogether with different rigidity's.. softer in the Dzone harder in the Ozone..

A much more useful adjustment is for penalty killers to use wood sticks so they don't have a situation where one guy breaks a stick and it's essentially a 5 on 3. Defensive players in defensive situations should always have wood sticks.

vs
37 8 19 27 (24 years old even though not full season it was strictly speaking his rookie year)
Lowest
82 15 17 32
71 7 20 27 (Would have a monster playoffs in Carolina after his trade from Tampa)
Highest
73 18 29 47 (26)
81 30 35 65 (26)
Only one season under 30 points, only one season under 40 points.

Yeah, that's fair, all of the above is why I'd claim him and move Bozak. Rutherford putting Jussi on waivers should have no baring on what we can get back for Bozak. I'm surprised Rutherford found no takers. Either way, we're like 19th in the whole waiver order anyways, so he'll be long gone anyways. It's all moot.
But if the question is right now who's trade value is higher, would you take the guy who's trending down over the guy who's just hitting his peak?

Is this at the pro level? Guys don;t do stuff like that because it wouldn't work, not because of superstition. If big guys don't have enough flex they will break their stick. Again, at the pro level this simply isn't realistic.

So true, never got that at all. A few years ago San Jose went down to a 5 on 1 - in the playoffs against St. Louis because 2 guys sticks broke.

Let's ask him when he becomes a UFA signs for 5 mil on some other team and becomes a 35-45 point guy about just hitting peaks.

A guy like Mark Fraser should always have a wood stick for that reason. Or McClement. These are the guys that can't afford to have a broken stick.
It's always weird when a guy breaks his stick and stands there instead of just get a new one. He's pretty much useless without one, what's 5 to 10 seconds to either get a new one or to get off the ice?
