This seems to be the pattern with Jussi.......things went pretty sour for him in Tampa, in fact I remember he was put on waivers and we asked on here should we claim him. He bounced back for 30 goals. As far as I can tell, Bozak hasn't had the same low points that Mr. Jokinen has had......
Sorry Pecafan fan, still disagree with you. Anyways...... - mykokes
All I'm saying is Bozak's value is likely much lower than what you think. |

The leafs d give it up cause they are very young. - aminnes
I love one of Boston's break out plays they use ver often. Not sure why no one has caught on to it yet, but they like to have their Dman in the low corner with the puck. Then their centre starts full steam up the center of the ice, drawing the fore-checking centre with him for coverage. This seems to open up a clear path for a cross ice feed to a streaking winger on the far side of the ice.
They use if so often against the Leafs, kind of boggles my mind that they can continue to do a cross ice pass over and over and not have some pick it off, but they do. |

He is on this team but that isn't saying much... we have a lot of 3rd to 5th Dmen... - DoctorNHL
Ya moving forward to be a real contender he can't be the number one guy. That stick wave - no foot movement on that 2nd goal last night was a massive illustration of this. |

Switiching to a longer stick now wuld be a disaster. St. Louis uses a longer stick but has been since he was 8 years old. - aminnes
not really. some experiment with stick length all the time. As was mentioned earlier some use different lengths for PK and regular shift/PP.

I have something to contradict this badly, but then I'd be defending Marty, and that would suck |

I used to play with different lengths every shift.. depending on where the play was... it is just a stick... if we in the dzone I would use a longer stick.. in the offensive zone a shorter one...
PK always longer.. and then I had some medium sticks.. if we were in the middle...

I'm not expecting the world for him dude. But I think what Dominic Moore got twice is reasonable starting point. |

Wasn't Mark McNeil as 2012 1st round pick? So, two 4ths, Hozler (AHL d-man) and MacA (2nd/3rd liner) = two 1st round picks and a top 4 d-man? - mykokes
No, 2010 I believe, maybe 2011.
He was around a 20th pick to and Chicago is going to be WCF bound which means very late 1st.
Rozsival is gone at the end of the season. Think of him as a 'veteran' presence.
Holzer has 3 years at an easy cap hit and he can play 5-6 dman for Chicago - exactly what they want. MacA gives them another offensive option and will help turn that 1st round pick into a early 2nd round pick.
And that 2014 will turn into a 3rd rounder because Edmonton is starting to get their poop together and if not this year it will certainly be next year that they make the playoffs. A 2nd line rental winger, cheap 3 year 5-6 or better young defensive dman, 2013 4th and a 2014 3rd
For..
A late 1st rounder, a potential top 9 center and a rental veteran defensemen.

Bozaks stick length is fine, I'd like to post the clip of Bozaks shorthanded breakaway goal but I can't be bothered. |
