Why Girgs already? The guy is recovering from a concussion... - LetsGoBuffalo75
I don't hate him,
I just don't see him becoming much of a scorer in the NHL
I think he'll be another "Gaustad"
That's pretty good IMO,
But if we needed to throw in a youngster as part of some package, I'd rather throw in a guy I see as a 3rd liner than Grigorenko who should end up being a ppg player, or even Catenacci, who is smaller than Girgensons, but plays feisty like Ott & has a better chance of being a 20+ goal scorer in the NHL
This is all just my personal preference though,
And I'll admit it prob way to early to speculate on how good any of these guys will be for sure |

They're not going to move Girgensons. They traded up in the draft this past year to get him. He's not being moved. If anyone gets moved, it's going to be the vet guys to teams that are contenders. Not the young ones. |

It came from Cheeseballin'. No way the Sabres trade Ott, there would literally be no point. He's an improvement in EVERY aspect the Sabres struggle in. Leadership, faceoffs, toughness, hitting, emotion, why the hell would the Sabres move the brightest spot we've had on the team in two years? |

If a team was willing to overpay I would do it in a heartbeat. You can worry about addressing toughness and emotion after you've acquired enough talent to be relevant in your division/conference. |

I think you're right...
My response stemmed from a post about trading a young guy for Toffoli like the Kassian for Hodgson deal last year
I was saying if we moved a young guy, my preference would be him over Grigorenko...
But I agree,
We are way more likely to move Vets than our young guys |

He would be perfect on the Hawks no? He's wasted on a poopy team in Buffalo |
