I dont want to just repeat what the announcers are saying but I think their confidence is so shot they can't do poop. So many of these players they are making, are just completely basic hockey mistakes.

Nothing is going right. Hard to watch. More than anything, a coaching change, or any new player, I am starting to believe the best thing for this team right now would just be for the year to end. They are mentally (frank)ed.

- flyer_nutter

they seem to work hard, but the effort just goes no where. they can't do anything of real value at either end of the ice. every single team they play suddenly turns into a finely tuned, systematic, checking, disciplined machine against them, whether they are good or not. they have no answers for anyone. literally. it's painful to watch.

i'm sure if you looked real hard, you'd find small things that certain players are doing well, but it's not amounting to anything. bryz is the only standing out in a good way, and he has pretty much all year.

Loved McGuire saying Flyers were "crushed in season opener against the Penguins and it went downhill from there." The opener was actually a very even game that was up for grabs until the final min when an ENG made it 3-1. Season has been bad enough without him inventing stuff.

What do you know another dogpoop period in a ""must win" game.

Timonen with a turnover that you wouldn't see in pee wee hockey. Thank god he's locked up next year at incredible value.

- PLindbergh31

He is declining, but honestly without him they would be a hell of a lot worse.

I think the fact that he is by miles the #1 d-man on the team, even at this level speaks volumes.

Three choices:
1) Get Lavi players he needs for system
2) Adjust the system to his current roster
3) Fire him and get new coach

- stveshdy

You mean Gervais, Fedetenko, and Foster aren't players that effortlessly blend into Lavi's system?

I think the Flyers have been in the toiler ever since they went to that Nickleback concert last year. Should have seen it coming.

Schenn trying to shoot right through Henrik.

Had no choice. Lundqvist was out taking away the net.

He's been a warrior for this franchise. I would rather have the 6 million in cap space available next year.

Edit: Not that I have a ton of faith it would be spent wisely.

#Flyers are just a lost team. The roster has holes but I see a collection of individuals playing with no identity. That is coaching

This sums it up better than I have in the past three weeks

- Jsaquella

I can't remember when they last had an identity.

Whatever the hell it is, they have no structure in all areas of the ice.

Running around like headless chickens.

I dont for a second believe Lava is telling them to play without any sense of structure, but something will have to give here.

It's like a professor in college that some people think is really good and some think sucks. The professor may in actuality be very good, but just doesn't get through to some students. Other students they do. Laviolette is probably not a moron, but something is just not getting through for whatever reason anymore. Happens year after year to many teams, and it's happening here I guess.

at least a half dozen unforced turnovers in the first.

this might be the first Flyers team I've genuinely hated.

i'm getting close to hating this team. very close.

Haven't really had an identity since the 05 lockout. The only identity this organization has is the Broad St. Bullies and trying to get a top player in whatever position Snider desires this offseason.

I really hope a new coach will get them to play better, and be a stronger team.

The holes in the lineup concern me a lot more. They are very subpar in a lot of areas. The one thing that annoys me more than anything about a Flyer team is when I feel like they are soft.

The continous trend of losing battles along the boards pisses me off. This team needs to get the emotion into it. They have been pushed around for too long.

Sometimes the coach just loses the room, it's not uncommon and happens to some good coaches.

Think of the payoff. The 8th pick in the draft.

Look at how the Flyers play in their own zone. Almost stationary, just letting the Rangers possess the puck on the outside. Rangers make some passes to move the puck, and Nash finds a seem and it's in the net. Flyers need to be a lot more aggressive on the puck in the defensive zone.
