Andersson is a good two way player and first year forward for the Wings. Abdelkader has potential to be a solid second liner with some toughness. - MidnightMarauder
You don't want Abdelkader on your second line. Decent third liner with some sandpaper, but not much more. |

Like the Rangers are in a position to be selective with the offensive talent they acquire. He doesn't look out of place with Datsyuk. Before you give me the token "anyone can play with Datsyuk" line, I have actually watched enough Wings games to know he can be a second-third line hybrid. Almost like Callahan currently is and he is fully embedded on that second line spot. |

Currently playing top line in Motown. Looked pretty good scoring three goals against the Ducks Friday night. He likely is better suited on the third line but he is not without ability. |

Before last night, he had 5 points on the year. He had 22 and 19 points the previous two seasons. You must have watched the only wings games where the guy has registed points. He's a good player, but he would crap second liner. He's not a particularly talented offensive player. |

How about the rest of the season where he had 2 goals, and 3 assists?

1 game out of a season does not sum it up for him, he hasnt done jack the rest of the year. Hes a grinder, a good one, who will get a few here and there, thats it. |

So, what you are saying is that we need to wait another week before acquiring Iginla? Either that, or send some salary back. Got ya! - Pete V
No just relaying salary cap space info, not that it wasn't already common knowledge but you just get the feeling that they are going to make a big move... |

I was joking about the Iginla thing, but I do think it could make the Boyle pursuit interesting. If they can add Boyle without giving up Gaborik, that would make for an interesting end to the year.

As someone posted above, by the trade deadline, the Rangers will be able to add $7.3 million of salary (pro-rated). Right now, that number is only in the mid $5 million range. I mention this, because soon, the Rangers would be able to add Boyle's salary without even having to trade Marion Gaborik. Of course, that would mean that Gaborik (or another big salary) would have to go in the off-season.
I am mentioning this, because after seeing thos pro rated salary cap numbers, I guess I wouldn't be shocked if a Boyle deal got done without including Gaborik. - Pete V
Looks like SJ is stockpiling picks, I know Douglas Murray isn't Bobby Orr but nobody off of Pittsburgh's roster, looks like a full firesale to me and if thats the case then its a no brainer. |

If its a full firesale, than we need to figure out a way to get Clowe as well in the deal. |

It could be interesting. Adding that puck mover with experienec and as a PP producer could make things interesting and then hopefully get Staal back... |

Not a chance, atleast Joe Morrow has 'potential'.
Brian Boyle as the potential to be the best pillow/marshmallow. |

Ryan Clowe is still goalless on the year and is a - 7. Brian Boyle for Ryane Clowe straight-up? At least they get another year out of Boyle, whereas Clowe may be off to greener pastures this summer.
