Newbury looks a lot better than Boyle. Newbury is a better skater and has better hands... and already has some chemistry going with Asham.

Id like to see another game with Powe on the 4th and Pyatt scratched.

Gotta give Torts props for putting the 4th line out for the game ending PP. Rewarded them for a good game and had toughness on the ice so the Flyers couldn't pull any roughhouse antics on our skill guys.

Our offense obviously looked the best it did all year. Unfortunately Gaborik looked invisible even with the offense playing well. I thought the amount of chances was still a product of Philly turning over the puck CONSTANTLY. But we made great passes and took advantage which we havent done all year.

Good call Downeaster & by Torts in that spot. If Ash & Newburry hadn't been out there, there's little doubt Rinaldo wd have pulled some dirty poop. He gets so much criticism & rightly so but Torts should get some props when we win then too.

9-7... sounds bad but also looks like what we need to get in:

http://www.sportsclubstat...n/Atlantic/NYRangers.html

according to these stats, thats a 90% at playoffs.

And 11-5 to have a >50% shot at the #6 seed

10 away games. 6 home games.

Rangers play the following teams twice: Pens, Leafs, Canes, Panthers, and Devils.

Rangers play the following teams one more time: Habs, Jets, Sens, Flyers, Isles and Sabres.

The Flyers, Sabres and Panthers aren't playing for anything, so it would be nice if the Rangers could get all 8 points in those games.

The games against the Leafs and Devils may go a long way towards determining whether the Rangers have a shot at the 6th seed.

6th seed looks to be 11-5 for a SHOT. (>50%). So if we beat the Canes x2, Panthers x2, Jets, Flyers, Isles, Sabres thats 8. Between Pens, Leafs, Devils and the 1 Habs game we need 1 win then for playoffs and 3 for a shot at 6
