Maybe the answer is playing Nash, Gaborik and Callahan all on right wing, and rolling three lines.
- Pete V

I will agree torts' line juggling will drive ya nuts. Just leave the players together long enough to build chemistry. With that said, no camp has to be a disadvantage for a coach with a bunch of new guys. It ain't easy to coach under the circumstances this year. Not sure people realize that or are willing to accept it

Graves, Jagr, Gaborik these are the only players to score over 40 goals for the rangers in the last 20 years. Of those three only Gaborik has done it twice.

I know I am the only one on here that thinks it would be a mistake to trade him away for Boyle. A Boyle for Gaborik trade is a win for San Jose.

If you want to trade him in the off season because they need the cap room that I can understand but if it is not a cap move then he needs to stay next year. You do not trade away goal scorers

I said the same the other day. Gabby would have a feast playing at his natural Right Wing position under a more offensively minded system with a team like Detroit especially. You could book him for 40-50 goals there each season. He should have had even less pressure put on him this season with the arrival of Nash; but Torts applied more pressure to him by shifting him to Left Wing.
His value right now is also diminished due to his off season rehab. of his shoulder injury; in which he would have likely missed the first 2 months of the season had there not been a lockout. Has he been still playing hurt this season? We will never know since the Rangers never disclose injury details; even if its as obvious as Staal's, which the whole league found out about the greater details of it only through a interview with his brothers before last week's Canes/NYR game here.

Messier scored 40+ in 1996. I get your point but Gaborik is useless when he isn't scoring a lot of goals.

Outside of his first five games, where he scored five goals, he has had four since. A week before the deadline, I think he needs to go. Maybe not for Boyle but something, especially when teams are desperate and will overpay.

Leave the Stepan line alone, let Richards play with Kreider and Callahan and Miller with Gaborik and Zuccarello.

A fourth line of Boyle in the middle of Pyatt and Asham isn't that bad.

Miller makes this team a look different. That's says a lot about Richards and Miller. When Miller plays at center the team looks better.

Newbury asham seem to feed off each other. I just assume waive Boyle and save some cap. Pyatt was getting to many minutes so 4th line suits him because he conserves energy to bang a Lil more as the game wears on . He is a large fella.

Kreider gives this team another dimension as well. He just needs to continue to build off of a very encouraging game like tonight.

Rangers are actively shopping Gaborik to the 10 teams he has provided to them, Teams don't ask players with NMC to provide them with lists unless they intend to move him. Whether they move him or not, he knows his days are numbered as a Ranger. Unless he pulls some kind of rabbit out of th hat, he'll be traded or bought out at season end.

Richards is the final buyout candidate in the summer of 2014.

Book it.

I can live with Newbury over Boyle, you don't have to twist my arm about that.

Richards looked better with Kreider than he did with any other winger this season.

He so needs to get going, I am not holding my breath though.

I wouldn't bet my money on it. Unless torts is gone, I just don't see him being bought out with him as coach. Remember they won a war together in TB.. That's a tough bond to break. I'm banking on Richards bad year on no camp or playing during lockout. Call me crazy

I wonder if he really misses prust. They were like best friends, line mates, etc. he just seems lost out there. Maybe mtl wants him for like moen or something

If this game doesn't get Richards going then nothing will IMO. Hoping to see him go on a little stretch here.

Both his line mates left, Fedotenko worked well with him too. Maybe they can deal him, due to his expiring contract. Anybody want a gentle giant who takes bad penalties and gets out scored by virtually everyone, on the lowest scoring team in the Eastern Conference?

He needs to produce, tonight was a good start, but he also was playing against a team that is playing some bad hockey right now.

Me too. Shame the guy is not in the Hall of Fame. He deserves it.

522 goals and 541 assists in 1424 regular season games and 26 goals and 36 assists in 117 playoff games.

Only 5'9" and 190 pounds and had 2905 regular season penalty minutes.

He was one tough SOB.

Newbury looks a lot better than Boyle. Newbury is a better skater and has better hands... and already has some chemistry going with Asham.

Id like to see another game with Powe on the 4th and Pyatt scratched.

Great win last night, as complete a game as we've seen all yr. Loved seeing both Richie & especially Kreider score. Couldn't believe the "jam" (Hi TJ) from Chris we saw. Got involved physically & we all saw his gifts offensively, although we still are waiting to see that speed he has. If he can get going it really could go a long way towards us making a run.

As always, got to build on this & win in Ottawa tomorrow, every game really is a playoff game at this point.
