If they can move him now, move him. If they are capped out during the summer they will leave themselves open for offer sheets to McDonagh or Stepan.

Is Gaborik really going to snap out of it enough to make a difference? Chances are heavily in favor of no.

- MidnightMarauder

Probably not, I'm not arguing against you. They will be capped out anyways if they swap Boyle for Gabby, actually Boyle comes in at a little less...now, how they get these RFA;s signed who knows but we always wonder yet they always find ways to fit them in...

Gotta think Detroit is looking at Gaborik. They have enough bottom 6 depth but lack a top six guy to play along with the Datsyuk line or the Zetterberg line. Brunner, as it turned out, isn' that guy. Gaborik might be.

Give me Filpulla (expiring contract), White (expiring contract), and their 1st, and i'll pick Gabby up at the airport, let him sleep in my basement, and take him out to dinner for the rest of the year.

Rangers 7-0-1 when Steps, Hags and Nash play on a line. NEVER split them up.

You didn't, my bad. His value will only decrease as time goes by. Strike while teams are desperate and will overpay at the deadline
- MidnightMarauder

That also could back fire. See Nash and Howson asking for the moon and then some at last year's deadline.

Murray is a stay at home, Boyle is a solid point producing defenseman, huge difference.
- MidnightMarauder

I'm not saying the price will be the same, are the Rangers willing to given them high level prospects, hell, they might not even want Gaborik

I'll take one of Filppula or White. Filppula preferably, a prospect(Sproul ) and a pick 1st or 2nd. Let Detroit choose that one.

Just got it off MSG. Surprised nobody posted it before me. But that's your 1st line and your go to line. Torts should be kicked in the nuts if he breaks them up again.

Only saw the 3rd period. But just saw it on the post game and figured it was a good discussion point.

Indeed, it is pretty clear those are the Rangers top 3 forwards this year and should stay together as a line

Graves, Jagr, Gaborik these are the only players to score over 40 goals for the rangers in the last 20 years. Of those three only Gaborik has done it twice.

I know I am the only one on here that thinks it would be a mistake to trade him away for Boyle. A Boyle for Gaborik trade is a win for San Jose.

If you want to trade him in the off season because they need the cap room that I can understand but if it is not a cap move then he needs to stay next year. You do not trade away goal scorers

I just wonder how good it will be around here if gaborik would be his 40 goal form.

I actually said earlier today that I wouldn't trade Gaborik straight up for Boyle. To be honest, I think people are expecting too much of Boyle at this point of his career, and you can't simply ignore the decline in his numbers. For the right price? Maybe, but only if the Rangers had the flexibility to move him this off-season if need be.

And if Richards can be that 50 assist guy again and if Miller and Kreider can add with that 3rd line scoring. O the preseason expectations are coming back!

Kaleta is the kind of guy that's in a bar all drunk and stuff and starts shyt because he's with his boys. Get him alone and he becomes a scared stiff teenager with a nasty acne problom afraid to leave the house

Lol. See what one win can do

Gotta keep perspective here because the next 2 games brutal. I'd take 3 points right now

Maybe the answer is playing Nash, Gaborik and Callahan all on right wing, and rolling three lines.

Home and home with the Pens next week is also looming. The need to do well in the three games coming up before that home and home, and then hope to get at least a point or two from the Pens.
