The fact that Douglas Murray cost 2 2nd round picks, makes me a little cautious about Dan Boyle's price. I still think he could really help this power play and add some stability to the back end. But not sure depending on cost - TPC
Hypothetically, what if the price was Dylan McIlrath? Because I think it would be something like that. |

Step is 9-11-20 in his last 21 and is a plus 9 on the season. That's about 35 goals, 43 assists and 78 points in an 82 game schedule and a plus-23 or so. Pretty good, yes? - gkmkiller
Of course, thats top line center stuff...if only Richie can find his game! |

I am only reporting the facts here after seeing some horrible member posts during and after recent games forcing me to become a member less than a week ago. I am always calm, and keep all emotion inside myself win or lose. Please send the Xanax to someone else who really needs it; and I will enjoy the result like you; even though it was a win again vs. another current "out of the playoffs" team at this point in the season. Congrats Torts on your 400th coaching win! - RangerSaver
Just accept that the coach isn't ALL the Problom they have. I don't like things he does but he has success in the past.
Ill extend an olive branch because your passionate fan. So my hand is out...

That's torts fault. A goal off the face.
Oh lordy - Slimtj100
Only bad luck as I have had scored against me plenty of times in my near 40 years of recreational goaltending. Hank is snakebit this season in his quest for a shutout. He deserved one tonight. |

Good, yes. But, bad also. Bad, because, if he wants, he is going to get PAID!!! |

According to Larry Brooks the Rangers will have just over 7 million in space by the deadline. Now, you'd have to move a salary over the summer. Maybe I got that all wrong...as long as he is here, you just hope he snaps out of it... - Blueshirts4ever
You were right but why concern yourself with that when you have so many key youngsters to re-sign? |

Because they are trying to win this year. They can deal with the summer when the summer gets here, and I will guarantee you they will be able to move Gaborik for some pretty good assets in the off-season. |

Rangers 7-0-1 when Steps, Hags and Nash play on a line. NEVER split them up. |

It won't be so let's not get too jolly about that trade scenario |

We concern ourselves with whether the Rangers will be able to sign their RFA's every year but they always seem to be able to. If they move Gabby's salary in the summer aren't they in the same place as they would be if they moved him now? |

Gotta think San Jose wants one of Mcilrath or Skjei, one of Fasth or Lindberg and a pick. That's probably kills the trade. |

Yeh, no way for me.
Edit: And he is 36 year old with a $6.6 million salary through next year. He has 15 points this year, and is a minus player. The guy ain't Erik Karlsson. |

Don't be so sure, looks like an old fashioned firesale, it looks like if SJ can move their big money guys w/o having to take salary back they will do it...just a thought...hey, I never claimed to be good at this amateur GM thing lol |

If they can move him now, move him. If they are capped out during the summer they will leave themselves open for offer sheets to McDonagh or Stepan.
Is Gaborik really going to snap out of it enough to make a difference? Chances are heavily in favor of no. |

Murray is a stay at home, Boyle is a solid point producing defenseman, huge difference. |

Gotta think Detroit is looking at Gaborik. They have enough bottom 6 depth but lack a top six guy to play along with the Datsyuk line or the Zetterberg line. Brunner, as it turned out, isn' that guy. Gaborik might be. |

I was surprised cause Murray is slow and seems to be declining. Still physical, but how does he keep up on that high octane Pitt team |

You didn't, my bad. His value will only decrease as time goes by. Strike while teams are desperate and will overpay at the deadline |

If San jose isn't getting Gaborik in return, that's what they would ask for. They depth. They have a ton of skill guys they are look for guys like Fasth and Mcilrath. Mcilrath I wouldn't mind moving, Fasth is another story. |
