Thanks. Hall will be captain next year. Barkov will replace Horc. and it will be two more years before we finally complete the 5 year rebuild unless there are 4 or 5 other moves made.

hemsky to the wing just because he would fit in

At least the oil should get another top 5 pic again....im sorry, this is getting absoluely ridiculus, what a crapy organization

Not unless he's part of a package for Lou, or it's Ballard or Booth headed the other way.

1. Hemsky aint getting a 1-2 Dman. None are available. And if they were it would take 3 Hemsky's.
2. We dont need to trade Shultz and Smid for another RW. We need a LW.
3. Are you (frank)ing crazy? Dont want Lou ever.
4. Drugs are bad for you...

- Iggysbff

Why do people think that RW can only play RW. It is the same position, opposite side. They even play d on the power play. We don't need "LW" we need forwards. Even centers can play wing. Cogs and Ganger did it.

This isn't about a Hemsky for a 1-2 dman. This is about Hemsky for Lou and Smid for an arguable upgrade in Hamhuis. For Van it is a salary dump. Take a look at what they are paying their dmen.

You might not want Lou but this Dubnyk thing isn't funny anymore. If you have a better suggestion, let me know. He is 33 and locked in for 5.3. We can keep going for marginal goalies and keep missing the playoffs but Edmonton hasn't been good since they had an elite goalie.

Lou wants out and Florida I am guessing is the team on the move in the new expansion plans. So Edmonton might be his only choice. Van can't keep running with almost 10 mil tied up in goalies.

Richard Cloutier: Pens Set Market for Oilers; NHL Trade Deadline
- Maxbone

Douglas Murray is 100% worth two measly draft picks even as a rental. Pens have to get to 2nd round of playoffs or resign Murray; if they do neither, 2014 pick is a 3rd.

2nd, Conditional 2nd, 5th, and Joe Morrow for Douglas Murray, a 3rd, and Brendan Morrow?

And these guys are now on the Penguins? The same Penguins that are on a 12 game win streak and have two of the best players in the world as their top 2 centers?

Is it wishful thinking to hope Belanger injury isn't an injury but he will be traded after the game.

Gillis would be fired before the trade call reached the nhl .... Luongo and hamhuis are both better than hemsky ... They need centers not wingers .... Keep trying tho
- Redmile247

Vancouver needs forwards. A second and a third line. If they want they can have a center prospect or belanger if they need but burrows can move down to the kesler line. They need to add offesnse and part with salaries. I didn't say Lou and Hamhuis for Hemsky. I also added smid and prospects. This allows them to add affordable players on their 3rd and 4th lines as well they can save close to a mil if they can sign smid for 3.5 and hamhuis is not that much better than smid. Plus they can spare a dman. I am not sure Gillis isn't on his way out anyways but you tell me another team that can offer them cheap fillers for their bottom 6, a slight decrease on one of their over paid dman and give them a top 6 for their goalie.

Need makes unthinkable trading partners possible.

Ya arguable....He's prolly Van's BEST Dman.

Edit: You do realize Hamhuis was 10th in Norris trophy voting last year?

Why do leafs fans pretend like they watch hockey. Hamhuis is good but he makes some costly mistakes. I watch a lot of their games due to where I live. He is better but there are some canucks fans that hate him.

Well he did finish 10th in Norris voting last year so I guess he's one of the league's best Dmen.

Ya, they hate him because he got injured in the finals and cost the team the cup.

See Norris voting pinner.

I like him better so I will take back my "arguable" comment. I was throwing it out there to appease nuck fans. I agree with you guys so it doesn't make a difference. Point is, if they can decrease a dman for offense, it would help them.
