I kinda want him to succeed in Carolina...
i hope he does well. Hate the Caps, hope he destroys them year after year. - FLYERSROCK!
Can't say I have warm feelings about either of the parties involved. Hopefully this ends badly for both of them |

Yeah but Raleigh has Southern girls, Southern weather, and safe air travel. Oh, and no packs of roving wild dogs. - Johnny Wrath
Russia sucks, but the women there make it much more appealing. And they don't talk back to you like these power-hungry, equality-seeking, horrible-cooking, spend all your money female doges in the US |

Meh, too much maintenance. The Yacht costs about as much to keep up and serves as a much better investment in terms of what you're getting out of the equation.

Sorry...you probably have no idea what the Predators have done over the past 7-8 years...seeing as you probably are used to not watching hockey after December... - PoileRulezzzYo
Haha..I actually like the Preds, but seriously, next to no fans can 3 players off that squad outside of Nashville...and they're a playoff team!!! Irrelevant..no, but sexy? Also no. After Pekka and Weber, the coach and a players wife are the biggest names! |

Ek, the Pens got Morrow and paid a pretty stiff price to get him. They are NOT going to be a player for Iginla as well unless the asking price comes WAY WAY down. - Emperor Filonius
There are multiple reports on twitter they are as well (hence ek's "sources") |

Every day that passes, the value decreases.
Too bad today was not the day it ended.
The positive is Kipper, if he gets hot, may improve his value a bit.

Completely disagree....for example, Boston would pay a lot more today than they would have 2 days ago. Watching the Pens bulk up forces their hand. |

How much would you spend on Semin? - SotaPopinski
They are still (slightly) under next yr's cap. I guess they think this lineup can win in the next few yrs. Which it may.
I am just surprised ownership there is willing to spend like it has. It is a decent contract, and no diff from what he wanted last yr. Good for him to actually play on a 1 yr in a new city to earn it.
Mad props for earning scratch. |

I still think Fleury is weaker than Rask. And I still think LA wins the Iggy sweeps.
You could be right though
Just my opinion, when the bidding war is only between LA and Boston (and mayyyybe Wings) that it dilutes the return.
Though, I don't buy PC being anti-Spooner trade. they are deep up C and can afford it for another run. Seems like spin. |

I never said they weren't good. They just happen to be a good team nobody outside of Nashville cares about. In a "real" hockey town like mine you see Jersey's from the home town team (70%), loyal transplant fans like Flames and Canucks (5%), Original 6 Teams (15%) and the rest belong to the "sexier" teams like Pitts,Philly, LA and Washington. As I'm sure it is the same in all the other Canadian markets,Nashville Jerseys are spotted about as often as Bigfoot. That's all I'm saying...of course, a Rocket Richard trophy or a Stanley Cup would change that, but I don't think your in danger of that happening any time soon. |

I agree. Teams looking for help on the Wing have less now to choose from. The demand is the same, the supply is less, not the other way around. This also slightly increases the trade value for Hemsky, Clowe, Jagr, etc.. |

I live in Florida. I am the only Flames jersey I have ever seen in this area of purgatory.
What I see- Chicago, Tampa, Florida, Minnesota, PENGUINS (a lot), Bruins.
No Rags.

The market and the demand are the same unless Pittsburgh still wants Iggy.
That's very unlikely, so the amount of teams and the available assets have both decreased by one. |

And what "real" hockey town would that be?
I also never said anything about Nashville being a hockey town. It will never happen. Football reigns supreme here now and forever. |
