from twitter it looks like you all are right about who is here now will be here come apr 3rd. so sending those guys down for 9 days is what shero is probably going to do... then bring them back up and change guys up during playoffs...

unless a deal comes along the RS cant pass up..

I believe he was talking about fourth lines in general being waiver fodder. Also he's refering to the people saying that the Penguins are the arrogant team.
- acdc1206

Ah I get it now, and I agree, most 4th liners are waiver fodder, from the best team to the worst, there are few 4th lines that are considerably better than any of the others.

I personally don't see the Pens as any more arrogant than any other franchise, really.

Not a slight against Engo, Glass or Jeffrey. But when push comes to shove do they even want to try to do magic work-arounds, sending Depres and Bennett down and bringing them back up when they can clear out some of those guys?

That still all depends on if Malkin and Letang come off IR.

Things you learn on Wikipedia, lol:

Morrow is the son-in-law of former Montreal Canadiens coach and former Dallas Stars teammate Guy Carbonneau, having married Carbonneau's daughter Anne-Marie on 20 July 2002.

- rival22[22] They have three children...

Just imagine the faceoffs they must have had playing ground hockey with the kids. Epic road hockey draws..

I know these won't be the lines bc they already said Morrow will be playing with Geno, but if I'm Bylsma I like...

Kunitz Crosby Dupuis
Neal Malkin Bennett
Cooke Sutter Morrow
Adams Vitale Kennedy

Orpik Martin
Murray Letang
Niskanen Depres/Eaton

That seems like the most likely scenario, but isnt that also what caused part of the problem this year at the beginning of the season? Tangradi was stuck here because he was injured after the deadline, and Strait got stuck here for whatever reason after he was called up prior to/during the Philly series. It would seem that after dealing/losing Strait and Lovejoy to protect Bortuzzo that he would be thinking 2x about possibly having it happen again should he decide to keep a larger roster post deadline.

As much as i like Bennett as a player, i think Morrow is a better fit with Malkin once he comes back. Bennett will add some scoring to that 3rd line, plus make that line better defensively, which is what you want your 3rd line to be.

Question to Douglas Murray:

Crosby vs Ovechkin, who would win in a bar room brawl?

Ovechkin..

I think Morrow will be a good fit on either line. However, I don't feel like Bennett is 3rd line type player. He's a playmaker so I feel like he's better fit on a line with Neal and Malkin where he can produce offensively. Morrow is going to give you solid defensive, grit, and some scoring capability which is why I feel like better suits our 3rd line needs. He will make the 3rd line better both offensively and defensively. 3rd and 4th lines are just as important as any other line when considering a Stanley Cup run (ex: Cooke Staal Kennedy in 2009). So by putting Morrow on the 3rd line and spreading out the talent, I think we give other teams a more dangerous look rather than having a heavy top 2 lines.

Man its one hard situation to be in, you can bet someone from the pens had to have a pretty hard talk with Bennett today.

I agree at this time in history, Morrow is the better fit on the 2nd line. I can't say enough about Bennett however. The kid looks real good. Very gifted and will be a prominent fixture on the Pens for a lot of years.

Bennett is good defensively and is a guy who likes carrying the puck and make plays. I feel he'll be the playmaker on the third line and morrow will be what geno and neal have been missing all year.

The way injuries happen in this sport, Bennett could be back on one of the top two lines in a game or two. Nice to have that kind of talent in your pocket.
