Who, Despres? I would think that it depended on Letang's availability. If Letang can't go tonight, keeping Despres around is needed because he'll likely play. - rival22
If Letang is a GTD it makes sense. |

I'd start to skate backwards right away. Some of these hits are pretty rough to take.

At this point, I hope he stays out. They simply don't need him right now. Same with Geno. - madmike71

Hey Twitter freaks, how come nobody has mentioned Jussi on waivers yet. I have a feeling Orpik44 might want him. |

Canadian, what would you do with 245 pounds coming straight at you at high speed?
Douglas Murray can definitely hit. He's as bulky as it comes. - Orpik44
Define high speed.....haha |

From a Flyers fan:
I'm kind of warming to the idea of shipping Talbot back to the Pens... Read is more valuable to the Flyers, then in a trade. Talbot on the other hand... The Pens have a log jam with 1st round defenseman in their farm system; Derrick Pouliot CHL 8.0 C, Simon Despres Pro 7.5 B, Olli Maatta CHL 7.5 C (from Hockey Future website). If we could pry one of these guys, plus... I do it.
Yea, no poop you'd do it. |

No need to play Malkin or Letang tonight, especially with Morrow playing today. We are like 10 points up on the next Atlantic division team and can afford to bench Letang and Malkin for a couple more games to be 110% sure they are good to go |

Bylsma sort of clarified on Malkin/Letang: "They're both very close. There's a possibility they could play today |

This from the last CBA, I'm guessing it hasn't changed.
Maybe Murray can be designated as a non-roster player because of travel today. I don't see why not...
16.12 Non-Roster Player.
(a) Upon approval of the Commissioner, a Player who is unavailable to play due to reasons other than injury, illness or disability (e.g., birth of a child, attending a funeral) will be designated a Non-Roster Player, and during such period of his
designation as such he will not count against the Club's Active Roster limit and his Club may replace such Player, provided, however, that the Non-Roster Player's Player Salary and Bonuses and his replacement's Player Salary and Bonuses are each included in calculating a Club's Actual Club Salary and Averaged Club Salary, and the Players' Share, for purposes of Article 50. |

Looks like the Penguins are getting sucked into the race for the President's Trophy. Year in and year out the worst trophy too win in the NHL. |

I would expect a far out proposal like that from a Leafs fan, not a Flyers fan....say what you want about them because of the rivalry we have with them, but they usually are knowledgable when it comes to personell. This one is a big |

Bylsma: "(Morrow trade) happened because of that (Staal) trade" b/c the #Pens got the 2 young D-men assets that allowed then to move one
Never thought of it that way, but it makes sense. The Staal trade is a trade that keeps on giving lol. |

Lol... tell them to throw in their top prospect (one who isn't a rapist), eat some of Talbot's salary, and then we'll think about it. Heck, we might even give them Tanner Glass or Dustin Jeffrey too. |

So, a third line guy that is a great penalty killer, but has limited scoring ability is worth a top D prospect? They are delusional.

I figured as much. I was curious though if Dallas would give him a game. |
